Sims 3!

What? A videogame forum without a thread about the greatest selling game series of all time? This is blasphemy! ...okay, I'm sorry, but seriously, the Sims 3 have just been released and NOT ONE thread? What? Okay, I'll get to the point already, if there is a point.

Anyway, I am going to ordered The Sims 3 collector's edition from Amazon.com, it should get here in about two weeks or so if I am lucky, and I am honestly HYPED about this game, at first I did not think much about this game, but now I just couldn't wait for it. The best/worst part is that I don't know why I am hyped for this game, maybe it's just that I like to make a drama series, or maybe it's just the feeling that the game gives me, I dunno. EEEEEEEEEK!!!

What do you guys feel about this game?

i liked the first one and got all the expansions and the SimCity series
but i hated Sims 2 so im not getting this one

I'm also excited about it. But judging from the past sims games, I'll expect at least 6 expansions and the price is a factor. I'll just wait and see.

I pre-ordered it on May 22, and Gamestop said if it was before June 1, it would come on the street date (today). Unfortunately, it's yet to come, and the mail's already here.

Oh well, at least my shipping is getting refunded.

Its true. But in the sims 3 not only can you BE IN a fire. You can CATCH fire! =D

I thought it was 60 dollars...
but anyway, i think it's gonna be a great game.
i just wish the console versions would come out sooner, i dont think i have enough space to save the game and download it on to my computer

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition.

So, yes, I have the Collector's Edition. It is incredibly fun! Only negative thing I have to say is that the graphics have not improved over The Sims 2. Also, some features are lacking, but I will be lenient on this, because, of course, they're gonna make another fucking billion expansion packs to milk my money.

The walking around town is cool, and the jobs are actually kinda fun to go to. Customization really relies on user-created content this time. Also, nearly everything is very customizable.

The flash drive is an odd little gift. The exclusive car is sick, and the special Tips & Hints Guide isn't very useful if you've ever played The Sims before. And the stickers are gay.

All in all, it's fun. Very fun. I'd be playing it right now if it wasn't for my brother :)
