When it has never infected any pigs.

"According to the latest World Health Organization reports, the swine flu is no longer the swine flu because no pig in the world has been reported with the H1N1 which has killed 176 people in Mexico and one in the United States."

Fucking incredible. It also astounds me that some farmers care more about their pigs getting it than them getting it, as shown by this US farmer ""That is the biggest concern, that your herd could somehow contract this illness from an infected person. If a person is sick, we don't want you coming anywhere on the farm,"". Incredible.

Discuss names of what to call the swine flu that has never infected any pigs.

I've made my mind up, there's going to be trouble.

It started out with pigs. It then switched over to humans when the virus mutated to a new strain. That new strain is only compatible with humans.

When Is A Swine Flu Not A Swine Flu

People say children are our future, but I say they're the present.
And that's why I'm not allowed within 100ft of a school.

But if I get swine flu, I'll go to my GP, get a prescription of tamiflu, and take a few days off.

If my livelihood gets swine flu and all die I'm pretty much fucked.

On to the more important topic, so it's only killed 1 NON 3rd world country inhabitant??
Hmmm, sounds like a pandemic alright. And I think I'm more likely gonna be hit by lightning than die from piggie flu

It's called swine flu because the virus itself is made up of 2 parts pig influenza, 1 part avian influenza, and 1 part human influenza. They just named it after the dominant species of flu.

Actually it's killed at least 3 people in New York City alone. However, your point still stands, the hype is a bit much.

Well I thought it would've killed more, but still. It's just making people scared for no reason. That's the worse thing.

Like the world health organization didn't even hold a meeting when the person dies in Texas and the infected numbers went over 1000, and people saw that as a sign of it being the end.

The media worries too much :/

Pigs do not get it they are just the carriers. Also eating pork or pork products CANNOT give it to you it is only if you were in contact with infected pigs or people.

The media is why we expected it to be such a catastrophe in the first place, more importantly though is that it kept us informed and able, preventing a far worse scenario from occuring.

Now they're just trying to milk the story.
