I remember reading something about some kid who was CONVINCED that Pokemon actually existed in reality. His argument was "Well, how could the come up with SO MANY POKEMON!? Obviously they're real because NOBODY could come up with 150 different creatures by themselves!"

We proceeded to crush this kids dream by making him realize that ALL pokemon were based on this that already exist

lol, we started having fun with it too! I think we covered about 200 pokemon total. Fuck, i wish i could remember what site it was at.

The best ones i remember were

Hitmonchan - Spider Monkey + Jackie Chan

Grimer - The stuff underneath the sink + The color purple

Wobuffet - A ghost + Down syndrome

Geodude - Rock + Arms

Dragonite - The color yellow + The dragon from "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul and Mary

Porygon - A duck + geometry
