Somebody win already...

Well, the Habs won it in double overtime. Good game. Now comes the crucial point in every series.
Game 3.
Statistically, whoever wins this game of a playoff series has gone on to win it. 4 series are tied at 1-1 (DET/EDM; CAL/ANA; NAS/SJS and OTT/TBL) and 4 teams take 2 game leads into their third series game (DAL/COL; CAR/MTL; NJD/NYR; BUF/PHI)
All over the next few days, the mist shall be raised and more will be made clear about these series.

Well for the Flyers' sake, lets hope the mist not only raises but enters the stratosphere and ionosphere because the've been playin piss poor lately, especially in last night's performance. The first game of the series I thought could've went either way as it was in Buffalo and the Flyers were dreadful in terms of being disciplined and not called for penalties (the game ended on a delayed call). But Esche was phenominal, putting up like 55 or so saves in the 3-2 Double-OT loss, and the Flyers just never got it done. And you could tell that he crashed after that game, giving up 5 goals in the first period. But then again, the Flyer's defense has been shoddy all year long and I can't place all the blame on Esche.
I'm wondering if The Flames are gonna pick their act up in this game. It's hard to tell though. It'll be close. Unless they actually try, and in that case, we will win.
Wow, I don't know about you guys/girls, but the Ottawa and Tampa Bay game was insane. 8 -4 for Ottawa, alot of fights. Man, that would suck for any of you that missed that. Haha.
Very poorly officiated game last night which my Wings lost in 2OT. Very irritating. Wings better get their shit together for game 4 or I will be even more fuming.

The Vancouver media layed into the coaching and playing staff for missing the playoffs. Someone had to go. (Maybe Naslund will be off back to Sweden soon too.)

I'm logging onto NHL.com's highlight machine to watch now.
The Red Wings took Game 4 tonight with a 4-2 win over the Oilers. The Wings head back to Detroit with the series knotted at 2 with Game 5 Saturday.
In other news, the Ottawa Senators followed up that 8-4 game by beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 to move them to a 3-1 series lead. Ottawa is a game away from advancing to theEastern Conference semifinals. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks beat the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime to tie that series 2-2. In the final game of the night, the San Jose Sharks beat the Nashville Predators 5-4. That win puts the Sharks up 3 games to 1 and puts them a game away from advancing to the Western Semis.
Since some of you seem only to posting here, I thought you might not know about the playoff thread in general. found here:

In other news, Kevin Weekes joins ahndful of other players in having their own website. Sid the Kid was the first, but Kevin's is the funniest.
Gotta dig that funky tune.

This is the new website for Kevin 'Shaft' Weekes? Possibly Huggy Bear, with flares big enough to close up that awful 5-hole he has

Lol. I don't think those flares are regulation size. Someone go get a tape measure.

I missed a game that good, now I'm depressed. Anyways I hope the Flames win tonight. Calgary needs another Stanley Cup soon.

Yeah, we do need this win, or I fear loss. I think we will win this one, one of the coaches better have told them to act like they want this win.
Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres
GO Flames GO!!
I am pissed of, almost all of the teams i picked in my pool are losing, or lost their series!
Detroit is behind, NY lost, Dallas lost, and Montreal is tied.

I don't feel like commenting on all the matchups, but I think Calgary in 7, Ranger falling to the Devils in 5, Ottawa sweeping, and the Avs upsetting Dallas.
Gosh, I was pretty close on a few of those.
All eyes on Detroit tonight, can they really be beaten by an 8th seed? Time will tell.
Flames/Ducks is also on tap, flames could send Anaheim to the golf course early with a win at the pond.
I've just about been able to pick myself up off the floor after Saturday's epic goaltending performance from Jose Theodore. (Didn't think I'd be saying that this season)
50 saves giving us the win and the series 4-1. Probably San Jose next, but if the Ducks can squeeze through, we get to face them instead.
Well gay Edmonton won. They will not win the cup. Nice call on that 'goal' for Oilers, Toronto you asswipes. Thanks alot you hosers. Now I'm gonna root for the Sabres because my buddy Ryan Miller, who I went to thee Michigan State with is a pimp and will help them win.

Considering that about 25,000 voters on NHL.com said 'Give Detroit the Cup' when the first round of the playoffs came around, we should give Edmonton some credit. It is certain that Detroit will not win the cup.
Edmonton are in the last 8 and they still have a chance to win
Avs just keep on rolling. Konowalchuk is back. As if they needed another good shutdown forward who can light the lamp and kill penalties.
Next to return, Svatos.
Avs for the cup.
Well, my Flyers played like shit the entire series and are now out of it. They never really got off to a good start in any game, being outscored 13-2 in the first period if I remember correctly. It's aggrivating because on paper at the beginning of the season everyone thought they had the best shot to win it. Unfortunately due to season ending injuries to players like Keith Primeau, and Kim Johnnson didn't help. Also the fact that they picked up Hatcher and Rathje, which seemed like a good move but in retrospect they played like crap all season and couldn't play the game as effectively under the new rules.

Don't worry, you won't be alone.
After tonight, either Bryce or myself will come in here with the same sort of musings.

I hate to jump the gun, but we never come back. Ever.
On the bright side, i'm really looking foward to the Fantasy Draft next year. Most of you folks will have a good bit of experience on your side, but judging by the sounds of things, a ton of unsuspected things happened.
Can't wait.
Well the Flames really topped that one off. By playing the WORST game ever. I mean seriously, it's like the players were trying to fuck up and be bad. WTF, the only player on the WHOLE team that was trying in Game 7 was fucking Kipper. I don't know what happened but nothing changed throughout each period, or if it did, we just got worse and worse. There goes my team.
runs to bathroom crying
I'm glad Anaheim won based on the fact that my team doesn't have to worry about playing Colorado anymore. With some of their key guys coming back, they could be a scary team. Still, I'm confident either way in my team, whether they had to play Edmonton or Colorado.
