faviourite players:David Bolland, who? Seriously, I can't find him on the nhl.com player search.
He plays for the London Knights in the OHL
Joe Thornton,
Nice choice, he's playing really well for the coyotes.
He plays for San Jose
Alexander Ovetchkin,Battling with Phaneuf and Lundqvist for Rookie of the year.
Ya he is amazing!!! Alexander the great will win
Sidney Crosbywho? His billing tells us he is a lot better than he has turned out so far.
Ya well he has no one to play with seeing as palfy retiered Mario retiered rechi traded and Dick Tarnstrom also traded

I think when he was in the QMJHL (I think it was) he was billed as the next big thing. Regardless of weather or not he has stars to play alongside, he would carry the team if he was Gretzky (as if anyone could match his greatness)
He's played alright, but nowhere near what was being expected of him. Ovetchkin for the Rookie of the Year.
The Avs wasted their 3-0 win, by losing 4-3 to the flames again last night, moving the flames to 3 games in hand and 1 point ahead of the Avs. We'll see if they can hold out over the stretch.

I wouldn't say wasted. If the Flames won both the Avs would be 3 points behind with 3 more games played. It was good game as Flames led 3-0 after the 2nd then Avs turned it up (Not trying sound like a sore winner but the reffing was in the Avs favour all period) to take it t 3-2 then Kobasew scored to make it 4-2 then with the goalie pulled the Avs popped one more to make 4-3 but thats all they could manage.
Gretzky didn't do everything by himself...
he had Messier,Kerri,Coffey and much more stars!!!!
P.S. Bobby Orr was greatest
Ovetechkin will win rookie of the year you dont worry
P.S. he has to I bet my uncle $100
Wow...its been quite a while since I've checked in with the old NHL Club. Well, its about time the Leafs started winning some games. Although, I'm afraid that its probably too little too late. As much as I don't want to admit it, they'll probably end up missing the playoffs this year. They're 6 points back of Tampa Bay for the last spot in the East, so its not completely out of the question yet. I just wish they would have done more at the trade deadline.

Different game back then. The men were harder and they poured blood, sweat and tears into their teams.

Ya leafs suck ass!!! But so does my team so hay! But seeing as Toronto is my second faviourite team I want them to make it but they wont make it.
They beat my team(Boston Bruins) thaugh so you know that anything can happen...
I wish I was there to see leafs kick ass in the 70s
Stupid World Figure Skating Championships... This 7 game road trip will make or break the Flames hopes for the division and maybe even a playoff spot.

I wouldn't say that your playoff hopes are in jeapordy. Though your division lead may be under threat if Colorado or Vancouver can pull their fingers out.

It's looking interesting in the run up, though since Calgary has the lead AND games in hand, they shouldn't have too much to worry about.
Boy, my goalie situation is looking good in fantasy hockey. After Niitymaki gave up 6 goals against buffalo, Eshe has given up only 2 goals in games and gotten a shutout. So he's the started for the time being.
Then, in montreal, Aebischer got lit-up in his first start as a Canadien.
And Gerber is still the number 1 in Carolina.
Last night I opened up a 15.5 pt lead on Coop, because of My players on the Rangers. Prucha score, Sykora scored, Ozo got a goal and an assist.
My Flames Got FUCKING DESTROYED by the preds today... Holy Shit.
9-4 the final... Lets just say a defensive collapse coupled with poor goaltending from Boucher = Terrbile.
Good News on the NGHL front though as I'm only one point out of the top 10.

Boy oh boy, those Rangers are just fantastic.
Last night, my Ranger players picked up 10+ points for my in fantasy hockey.
Also, even though my goalies didn't play, it ended up being a good night for them. Cam Ward, of the Hurricanes, gave up 4 goals in a loss. While Abby, in his second start for the Canadiens, gave up 5 goals. He's given up 10 goals in his first 2 games.
I also pulled within striking distance of the next three people ahead of me.

Well, I'm concentrating on the Avs trying as hard as they can to miss the playoffs. Ok, so we lost 6-5 to San Jose, with arguably the league's best line (when you consider Thornton and Cheechoo, it's almost a forgone conclusion) I only hope we can bounce back tonight against the Kings.
WTF happened in Pittsburgh last night? The arena blacked out not once, but twice in one game! My roommates and I were sitting around watching the game and when it cut out, we started to freak out. Its alright really, it was an ugly game anyways. It played more like a soccer match than a hockey game. Seriously, low shot counts, a 1-0 score and the only goal came on a penalty shot. It was definitely soccer night in Pittsburgh last night. Ah well, at least my Leafs picked up a hugely important 2 points.

It feels good to be back in the top 10.
Thanks in part to Datsyuk 7.50 point night with his goal that happend to be the Game winner and his two assists, one of which was on the powerplay. Fedetenko's game winner, Langkow's goal and powerplay assist, CuJo's win, Richards 1 A and 1 PPA, St. Louis goal and Vandemeer and Pheanufs assists also helped out tonight.
In total a nice 25.50 point night. Plus I still have around half my roster playing tonight so hopefully they can help pad my 10th place.

I saw that game too, apparently there was a small electrical fire but it was put out quickly and was no threat to the audience so they allowed the game to continue.
I liked that like pushing match between Crosby and McCabe at the end too, I thought something was gonna happen...

Ever since I lost Svatos, my season has been going downhill and now even my own team is against me (Joe Sakic's single handed demolition of the Kings earning VPoY about 12 points last night)

And now tanguay is out for 2-4 weeks.
When it rains, it pours.
Key game tomorrow, with the Avs taking on the Ducks.
Ducks win, they're tied with Colorado for the 5th spot and have 2 gms in hand.
Avs win, they put a four point gap on Anaheim.

I'm considering using my IR spot and getting another palyer in his stead until he's fit again... probably best.

And it was.
If you're a ducks fan, that is.
Things got off to a bleak start when Anaheim got down 3-0 on triple first period goals by the Avs.
They kept themselves on life support when they cut it to 3-1. But, in the second the Avs extended it to 4-1 to all but secure a 4 pt lead on the Ducks.
But it was not to be, the Ducks netted one in the second and made it 4-2.
The third period though, was all ducks. The avs went on a stretch of 14 minutes without a shot and the Ducks tied it up.
But the OT would only make it only more exciting. Hedstrom was hauled down on his way to Budai. and, you guessed it
PENALTY SHOT IN OT
After some counseling from selanne, he headed out. He skated swiftly and made a slight head fake and zipped it straight into the back of the net.
Notes: Since it went to OT, the Avs got a point and still hold a 1 pt lead on the Ducks. The Ducks have 2 gams in Hand. Giguere was pulled in the first and Bryz came in and allowed 1 goal on his way to the win. 2nd time in three games that the goalie was pulled and the Ducks went on to win. 3rd time in 4th games the ducks have erased a deficet to win. Joe Sakic continues to fill in for the injured avs forwards, his wrist shot in the first was his 3rd goal in 2 gms.

We amde mistakes (allowing them to come back after going 3-0 up on them, PS in OT)
I'm not too disheartened by it all, since you have to remember we are using a platoon of two rookies to tend the net until Jose 'I can't be bothered to go to practise today, let's try skating on my steps' Theodore returns in early April.
April can't come soon enough though.
For those of you who don't know, Andy Murray of the Kings was fired.
They had to do something, they went from battling for a division title to struggling to remain in the playoffs.
And the Ducks defeated the Preds 6-3 last night, again coming back for the win. This time, they were only trailing by 1 goal. This puts them 1 point over the Avs with 1 game in hand. Their next game is against the Yotes.
And in Fantasy, I passed up Dobio for 7th. and I'm right behind 6th.
Well, it's interesting to see how the playoffs end up unfolding in both conferences. I think San Jose will make the playoffs, even if they're not in them as of today. I just hop that they can keep up their play and bounce back from that horrific 4-0 loss they had against Detroit the other night. They're going to have to if they want to keep up with the other teams fighting for those last playoff spots.

With that 6-2 loss to Montreal last night, the Maple Leafs playoff hopes have just been buried deep in the cold, cold ground. I definitely don't know what I'm going to do with myself during the spring. I guess I'll have to start cheering for another Canadian team during the playoffs.

In fantasy I have a whale of a night, I jumped up three spots into 4th.
And the Ducks remain red hot, they're 9-1 in their last ten with the win over phoenix last night.
It was the third straight game in which they've scored 5 goals.

Blah Blah Blah, Avs passed the Ducks (and the Flames) last night with an OT loss to the oilers (2 points would have been much more appreciated)
And in Fantasy, I passed up Dobio for 7th. and I'm right behind 6th.
Dammit, who have you got who's giving you such a boost?

You'll make it... The Avs are mediocre and the Oilers are hot, so you may have to settle for 6th-8th in the conference. (I'd rather face the Flames in the 1st round than the Preds)
