Any tips on a quick fix for just a single spot breakout?

Y'know, that one gigantic zit on your nose or in between your eyes? Is there any way to make it go away/make it less noticeable in a very short amount of time, without just inflaming the surrounding skin and ending up with a large red blotch on your face?

Don't touch it. As tempting as it is, you're just going to end up with red, inflamed skin. Popping, in my experience, either alleviates or exacerbates the situation, and it's impossible to tell which will occur.

Just use some fast acting acne cream. If that doesn't work in time you could always cover it up with make-up.

I used to be fairly spotty in my early teens, but i rarely get them now.

Some just dissapear after * shudders * popping them, others...pose more of a threat.

I know this will sound stupid, but for the giggles, and easier advise giving...pic?

Scrub your face constantly. thats all that really works. and if you get a bad zit, get the most brutal cream you can find and slap it on.

I don't think you can do anything instantaneously about zits, or the like. Best you can do is try to avoid the problem by washing your face regularly.

Soak it in extremely hot water for several minutes, with the help of a cup or other small container. Use soap and a clean fabric to squeeze it out.

If you don't have any acne face scrubs or whatever, you can always put a small dab of toothpaste to help sort of zap or freeze it away.

Believe it or not, it really works.

This. Face gets oily, you use one dirty fingernail to scratch it once. BAM, next day, a zit. You touch it because it's there, not irritating yet. Next day, HUMONGOUS. If you have those acne creams, wash your face, dry it, then apply them. If you don't have any, just get those small band-aid to cover it up so you you won't actually touch it for the nex tfew days.

It's already been popped, (i know, i shouldn't touch it, etc :P), but now there's just a red spot there as opposed to an actual zit. Is there anything that will help reduce the redness?

Try The Acne Free product " The Terminator" (not related to the movie)

I use a little bit one night and it pretty much clears up the spot by morning. The longest it's taken is 3 days with only a small amount once at night.

Quick dab of foundation for a quick fix.

If you want to try and prevent getting spots: Drink plenty of water, wash your face regularly (once or twice a day, not too much or too vigorously as it'll just irritate the skin) and try to get some sunlight on your face. At the end of the day, you might still get spots, it's inevitable and just part of growing up.

Unfortunately it lasts longer in some people than others :(

I like Oxy brand stuff. It doesn't make your skin have a huge breakout the second you start using it. However it doesn't act instantly. I would recommend makeup. It's okay. You can wear makeup and still be manly.

Toothpaste actually works pretty well. A blotch of coverup would do the trick too.

this shit doesnt work- ignore this advice. In my experience washing ur face a bunch clears it for a few days, but it dehydrates ur face and in turn ur pores start making more oil to keep hydrated.
So yeah more oil- more pimples.

I manage a day spa, so I've got some experience on the subject. Out of all the expensive products I've tried, Neutrogena's On-the-Spot Acne Treatment is the best. I'll have something pop up, apply a bit o' the treatment every few hours, and it's almost gone the next day. You can buy it at any drugstore/mass merchandiser and it's only about $6 or $7.

Pop it, wash your face, don't touch it. Repeat on other zits when needed.
