They are an excellent band.

The Clash would never be a bad band!
Yeah, whatever.
I'd like to join.
I'm a pretty big fan of
Misfits, both Danzig and Graves era
The Buzzcocks
Bad Brains
(older) AFI
and I'm into a lot of other sounds all across the punk and sub genres
Just bought ANOTHER Nekromantix cd. Return of The Loving Dead. Gargoyles Over Copenhagen is probably the best song on the disc.
Anybody else here really into the Rockabilly genre? I guess it's not technically "Punk" but i've always considered it the sister genre.

Yes!
The Cramps are my all-time favorite, though there is a local band called Creepsville 666 that is exceptionally good.
There a really big rockabilly scene where I live

I love the clash. I'm just saying you don't talk about their non-punk songs in a club for punk music. Well it mainly depends on what the OP who started the club says because I'm not the one making the rules.
Also is post-punk open for discussion because I just started getting into joy division?

The Clash is a great punk band, all of their songs are classics, right now I'm really in to Anarcho-Punk and more Hardcore Punk.
Still lovin' the classics though!
Yeah, whatever.
Sandinista! is The Clash's best album, and it's probably their least punk one.

I'll have to check that one out, I been listening to The Exploited, Leftover Crack, and The Vandals a lot lately... I need some more music.
Yeah, whatever.
So, we're all agreed Inflammable Material is the best punk album ever, yeah?

Although Stiff Little Fingers are great, I don't think that Inflammable Material is the best punk album. Now that I've said that I'm struggling to suggest something better. It is also hard for me to choose because usually I buy "The Best of..." compilations as they tend to have the better songs from a band.
Anti-Pasti - The Punk Singles Collection is a compilation that I would rate higher than Inflammable Material. I'm not trying to say that Stiff Little Fingers are bad, I love them myself, but I fail to recognise them as having the best punk album.

Hell yeah. Inflammable Material is great stuff.
The Misfits
Black Flag
Dead Kennedys
The Sex Pistols
The Clash
Circle Jerks
Propagandhi

I'm not sure how easy it will be to come across in stores. You will definitely be able to get a copy online somewhere. I have a copy. Well... actually it's my dads, but he doesn't mind if I keep some of his old CDs in my room.

My dad never listened to good music, I mean, the best bands he listened to were KISS and Motley Crue, which are excellent bands don't get me wrong, but I don't LOVE them... I'll probably have to find a friend with a copy and steal that, I'm not really fond of torrenting.
Yeah, whatever.

I see it in shops all the time. HMV had racks full of just Inflammable Material a few months back, when they had it on offer.

Wow, must have missed that. I've seen Stiff Little Fingers sections at the HMV stores in Edinburgh (closest to where I live), but I've never seen more than lile 5 CDs in there at a time, forget a whole rack. Wish I seen that.
I went to HMV looking for some of The Business's albums, but I had no such luck.

If you guys didn't know NOFX has a new album out, and... It's dope shit....
If you don't have it, get it. It's called "Coaster", I'm only on the 4th song so far, and I'm in love.
Yeah, whatever.

I remember seeing NOFX here in Vegas when I was like 12. They were just getting their start, and they were more like Blink182 back then. I havn't heard any of their new stuff though.
I'm kind of wondering, anybody know anything on the Misfits touring routine? I went to their show around Halloween of last year in Columbus Ohio, and all I can find as far as future tour dates are mostly European cities and a few back in the US. Do they tour the US each year?

I'm not to keen on either of those. The Clash has never really impressed me except for a few songs and the Buzzcocks are... well, the Buzzcocks.

I just saw The Death Set last night. A great band all you people should listen to. There was a crazy mosh pit in a tiny roon. It was also the very first time I have ever crowd surfed.
