I have handed out over 40+ resumes at LEAST and emailed my resume out at least 35+ times. I have only gotten two interviews.
What people do is when you hand them your resume to give to the manager, they will throw it in the garbage for greater job security for themselves. Job postings on craigslist that are decent will be flagged so users don't get to see the contact information.
I am currently homeless. Aahhh!

I should be in an architecture internship right now. Instead I'm lined up for a clerical job at a stupid insurance company.

I've been putting out applications for about a year and a half now, and I still haven't gotten any interviews. Currently, though, I'm working on an application, and I'm pretty sure I'll get the job.
But good luck to you, and whoever else might be looking.

I can't actually prove he is homeless, but librarys do exist.

Sorry bro, nothing to do other than apply for more jobs and hope you get something back.
It's always been hard to get one, and this economy has only made things worse. Luckily, I've had a job for like 2 years now. So I'm set. Just thought I'd let you know :P

My fucking fifteen year old sister got a job at the Post Office down the road just by going in and asking. Fortunately she's not old enough for minimum wage and gets three pounds an hour. Still, better than nothing.

How do you know that maybe you just aren't that qualified for the job?

I've been job hunting half heartedly for about a year, problem is I've never had a proper full time job and all employers want experience :c

I was lucky enough to have a good paying steady job before the economy went downhill and I've been smart enough to hold on to it even though its not exactly the most fulfilling job. Good luck to on finding a job, it is tough out there. You'll find something eventually.

That's what I do. Work is tough enough to come by, I'm only part time and I'd rather be working every night, not to mention that's just one more person taking a shift from me.
Go work for the town you live in, that's what all of my collage friends do.
