first of all, yes i've looked around because this is a question i'm sure has come up before
i just didn't manage to find it. sry about that

the issue:
i want to upload a mp3 file but whenever i do so, it loads the file a bit then says
'the file does not appear to be a valid mp3'
about the file:
I write my stuff in guitar pro 5.2
I export them as wav files
convert them via audiacity (and check for the 44.1kHz sample rate)

what did I miss?
thank you for helping :)

Historically a lot of people have had problems with the mp3 encoder that audacity uses with the audio portal. Lame.dll seems to do some very non-mp3 standard things with tracks which prevents newgrounds from handling them properly. Try another encoder.
