Bradford, in West Yorkshire, England.
Just a horrible place. Nobody speaks English, there's rubbish all over the fucking place. People don't bother disposing of their stuff properly, they just chuck it out onto the street and hope that the rain takes it away. It's massively overcrowded meaning that getting public transport out of there will take four or five times longer than if you were in a car.
There's shitloads of stupid, pseudo-upmarket restaurants which are all doomed to failure because the only people who can afford to eat out a lot are saving there money and getting the fuck out of Bradford.

Richmond Virginia left a bad impression on me while passing through. I got some nasty expired strawberry milk at a gas station and the whole city smelled bad.

No way dude. NY is large so you have to know the best places to go. But it's fairly safe and there is a ton of shit to do.

LA, hands down. I mean... it's great if you like robbery, gangs, poverty, gasoline, smog, litter, mexicans, pollution, cigarettes, self pity, mexicans, and unhappiness. Oh yeah, and there are a LOT of mexicans there too.

Yeah... In most parts of detroit you don't even stop for stop-signs or street lights, you just keep on going :). I would say that Detroit is worse than LA/San Diego but I didn't have as bad of an experience there as I did in Southern California... If you guys haven't been to SoCal, don't.

Well I've managed to get around a lot, and with the exception of middle-eastern cities, I would have to go with Beijing being the worst city I have ever visited.
I have my reasons, really.
- The air there, christ, I actually stepped out of the airport and had to place my shirt over my face.
- The streets, the major roads in beijing are like driving over dirt roads.
- There are soldiers everywhere, with a there being a military academy around every corner.
- Certain Public areas, are not actually public.
- public transport is terrible, and I mean terrible.
- the only people who can afford anything are either, soldiers, politicians, of civil servants.
I went on a tour of China last April, Beinjing being the first city I visited.
Out of the 4 cities (Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai and SuzHou) I traveled to, Beijing was the worst.
All around the city there are shanty towns, scattered around.
The good point are though, that if you are a foreigner, you can afford virtually anything compared to the chinese, this includes 4-star hotels, tours of chinese monuments and high class restaurants.

Yeah, I worked all over Jersey. I used to love working in the more rural areas, because they weren't particularly rural or far out, but the cities and big towns are nasty. Every state has shitty areas but Jersey is consistently unpleasant.

Lewiston/Auburn. Technically it's just Lewiston but pretty much Lewiston and Auburn leech off each other because the towns can't keep there heads above water on there own. It barely qualifies as a city but around these parts it's pretty much a metropolis. It has all the urban decay of Detroit or Baltimore... only it is terribly boring. sure there is the typical crushing depression, like a gray fog that consumes your soul. But there is no excitement. There is no chance for adventure. Everyday is just like the last... only worse, because with each day the realization that the life is being sucked out of you sinks in deeper.
In the typical city sure each day is worse than the last... but in Lewiston, you're not going to get shot and put out of your misery. It's just constant pain... living constant emotion deadening apathy. All the time. Forever.

The way you describe it puts me in pain, I almost felt like sobbing.
Also, there was some island I went to in the Bahamas, can't quite remember though. The people there were horribly paranoid of every single person in sight, be it native or tourist.

Euckersville, Indiana... (Evansville)
Went there first year of college. Not only had worst college experience, but try navigating around town on a bike. Very narrow streets, nothing but poverty (ghetto) all around you, when it rains for an hour, most roads flood up to a feet or more. So did college campus twice. No fun, no life, just a waste of time.
Glad to have gotten the hell out of there after first year of college.
But then Saint Louis, MO has it's worst tales...

Denver, Colorado. Man that place sucks! Not really, the city I live in is clearly the worst.
