If Your Keyboard Was Blank...

Let's say that one of your Jackass friends has decided to play a prank on you. He's done and colored your entire keyboard with black paint and now there is no way to tell which key is which, except by memory of course. (Or make up your own reason, whatever)

Anyways, you're keyboard is now blank. It is fully functional, just...blank. How would this affect your everyday internet browsing?

Would you be able to chat with friends online, finish a Flash Project, or even type at all? Would you remember were all of the extra characters are, like & $ @ ect... Would internet browsing be entirely impossible for you, or could you do it blindfolded?

Me, I would probably be able to type. Just a little slower. I look at the keyboard half of the time when typing, usually when I start a sentence, but half way through I don't have to. Or I'll take a quick glance to see where to start typing. Either way, it wouldn't be that great a of a problem for me.

A lot of my keys are missing from my keyboard anyway... so I don't think it will effect it all that much.

Back in grade school they taught us home-row and proper keyboarding skills. I don't know if they still teach it today in elementary schools, but it would not have any type of effect on my typing since I know how to type properly. The only keys that would give me a problem would if somebody blacked out what the keys said on my laptop and I needed to use the Fn key to type in certain things (like number pad, prnt scrn)

My keyboard is blank... It's a lot easier because now I can change the mapping to whatever I want whenever I want and I won't get confused at the default characters displayed. Actually, I never really look at my keyboard anyway so even if I didn't use a blank-set board I wouldn't notice anyway ;P.

It would barely affect me at all. It's not that hard to memorize the QWERTY layout and/or just type by feeling the position of your fingers on the keyboard.

I do most of my typing in the dark anyway.

It wouldn't make much difference for me. I usually don't look at the keyboard when I am typing anyway, and when I do need to find a certain key I'm usually looking at the screen to see the results I get when I type various keys rather than looking at the keyboard to find the single key I need before typing it.

I'd probably get used to it after 15 minutes. After all, I sort of memorized the key positions.

Plus, I have my trusty monitor on which the letters appear, so I can always correct my errors.

Well I know where most of the key are anyway, and for the ones that I don't, just open up Notepad, hit a buncha keys, record what they are and voila! That or buy a new keyboard.

I would just try to type without looking becuase I can do that. Just incase I would get a pic of a keyboard in the next tab or somthing. I would make much more typos because I wouldn't be able to correct them though .

It'd be virtually the same, only, I look at the keyboard to type when I have to start a sentence.

Other than that, I'm sweet. And it's not every sentence, either, just the opening one. For example, I had to look at the "I" for "It'd".
