My college requires all incoming freshmen to take a math placement course. It lists which of the two tests (Algebra or PreCalculus) should be taken according to major. I plan on majoring in Biology and that is where the problem comes in. They say:
> Biology students need to be aware that they may have the option of taking with MATH 122 [Algebraic Math] or MATH 141 [Calculus's]. If you think there is a chance you will take MATH 141, you should take the PreCalculus MPT.
I'm unsure if I am able to take Math 141 based on my previous math courses, however I don't want to take the Math 122 course placement test if I have a chance of doing well on the precalc test. I have made Bs on almost every single course I've taken in high school. My math career went PreAlgebra-Algebra I-Geometry-Algebra II-AP Statistics (though the Stats class was a nightmare and I only passed due to a curve). Based on your collective knowledge, what do you all suggest I do?
