As opposed to torturing a rescued puppy.

My family & I saved a dog who had been abused, too.
But the dog was actually thrown out (I'm guessing), and had lived in the wild for a long time until it came to our house.
It had Mange & was so skinny your could pretty much see her ribs.
So we started feeding with it & took it to the vet to give her some shots, & that took care of her Mange, now we just keep her & feed her.
I think she's part pitbull, but she flinches just when you raise a hand at her to throw a ball for her to retrieve it.
