i have an idea to fix some of the issues, make the voting console beneath the submission, right above the suggested submissions. Have the icon to the left of the name, and have the details about the rating appear by rolling over the rating icon like excessive violence mild nudity etc. But im not very sure about the whole voting console, unless it would be ok if there was a blank space where it was.

I wonder if the admins would actually bother catering to the people who don't want this. It seems like a lot of people are like 'OH Yay something new'. I don't think the site layout needed improvement at all. Especially when my first thought is that my internet is lagging and I can't possibly play with the webpage loaded like this.

As of ten to fifteen minutes, I can't stand to play flash games on this layout anymore. It gives me a headache, it's annoying, I fucking HATE autoplay, the music makes it impossible for me to multi-task, and I'm really just utterly disgusted right now, and I want the old layout back. It looks like Youtube now, and I hate it. -.- It also looks like Gaia, and this is precisely why I left Gaia.

Rather than screwing with a perfectly good layout, I would rather have had the Flash category fixed. Unless it has been. In which case, I utterly hate this widescreen thing. It clashes, it's awful looking, and it just completely ruins my experience here.

Get used to it? Maybe. But I'd rather have a button that lets me switch back and forget this ever happened on my screen. :/

I love being able to read the user description and reviews while loading the embedded swf. Fuck pop ups, theyre the past.

I love the optional dim the lights feature, which is really slick and handy.

I know the systems still a bit flawed, but theres plently of space left for changes and tweaking. Having an optional autoplay option on your account is the best idea ive heard, as Glaiel pointed out everyone that wants to can switch it off, also increasing registered users.

Stop fucking moaning, you guys know Toms gonna do his best to make everyone happy, its just growing pains.

My brother lost a Halo 3 battle cuz of the lag of me downloading a flash i didn't know i was downloading. I was waiting for him to finish so i could start downloading it but...anyway, it's a great feature, i'll have more careful next time lol.

I like it but why did you mess up the progress on it? When I go on Sperm Rider it doesn't show up the progress I did.

Well, I don't exactly like this. I mean, it not only brings attention away from the author, comments, and ratings, but it also doesn't give us the option of actually doing these things before the movie, especially the ones with no preloader. Please give us an option as to how we want our format. I liked the old way better....

I think a poll of the active user board would have accomplished that more effeciently than implementing a system and waiting to see who can't live with it.

Now I MAY be wrong about there not being one, as I don't usually read every announcement, and I know Tom tends to nest different topics together, but yeah. The site caters to the user, essentially, so I think it would have been better to find out before they did all the work for it, and then had to go back and fix what a bunch of users don't like. And, actually, from the reaction, either a lot of other people didn't read the post he made with said poll in it, if there was one, or whatever was originally proposed wasn't this.

Like I said, I don't always read the announcements, I'm here for the games, but as I mentioned previously, the layout makes it hard for me to focus on a game. I can't play multiple games. Everything autoplays. These are points that I'm pretty sure the objecting users WOULD have brought up (at least, I would have, since it completely ruins the way I use the site), and should have been thought out. And I really do think all bugs should be fixed before the way something looks is changed. It's like writing a program: if the code doesn't work right, the graphics don't matter.

Granted, it seems like this is a beta, and granted, Psycho pointed out a few pages back that they're working on solutions, but my opinion still stands as is.

The point is this: Newgrounds is a business; the percentage of ACTIVE users who view the site is tiny compared to those who are just passing through or come for flash games and movies. Ideally, yes, Newgrounds would cater for the users and we'd all be happy but that just isn't possible. They - the administration - identified a problem; using pop-pops with no content inline was causing people to prefer other websites, people are impatient and if you don't know Newgrounds it could be hard finding how to access the content. They had to solve this, sure, quite a few people will dislike it, but from a business point of view it's a necessary step to take.

I generally like it, although the BUY ME button that goes over the store and part of the forum buttons is a little annoying, it doesn't look neat and tidy. Or maybe I'm just OCD

I liked it. But I am a little disappointed with the Author name and the authors comment, and the information. Those things should be above the flash submission :D

And where is the Rating Information? The only thing I see now, is a image with one word in it. T = Teen, E = Everyone. That's cool, but where is the information? How much nudity, adult themes, violence, etc the submissions contains. I want that!!!!

Loving the new layout, but the navigational banner DEFO needs stretching to fit (as I'm sure it's been mentioned here 398171 times already).

It would also be awesome to see this design globally, people with 800x600 don't deserve the fruits of the Internet.

I know Its nice to have things like that, everything built by the community and big decisions decided as a whole, but some times big things just need to be done without pissing around for the greater good. No, there never was a poll like you suggested, but sometimes the users dont always know whats best for a website.

What it will probably come down to is you having to tick a box in your profile and get used to a slightly different layout. This feature will generate so much more traffic for the site. With the new ad sharing, us guys are gonna be able to make a lot more money off our stuff and get it seen by a ton of new people.

People that have been around here for a few years will know that the site has changed and improved hugely in a relatively short time, without selling out and becoming a corporate machine like Kongregate. Theres still loads more stuff to come im sure, we are halfway through a pretty huge transition in the sites life, stay with it, newgrounds wont let you down. I loved Glaiels dick metaphor.

Power of Three will push the site forward in terms of quality of content, exposure and reputation. A hell of a lot of people know Newgrounds, it was the original flash game site, yet people associate it with hentai and dick jokes. I think over the next few years we are gonna see this reputation shaken off again and watch Newgrounds become THE fucking flash entertainment site. Its taken a while to catch up again, but just watch it happen :)

Why should the website have to comply to the way that YOU browse it? There's nothing stopping you just opening a series/collection page in a tab, and one at a time opening new tabs to each individual flash.

For every newgrounds visitor like you who opens loads of tabs all at once, there are probably three or four or maybe even more who don't even know that tabs exist.

The more time I spend with it the more I begin to enjoy it. Is it perfect? No, but it is a HUGE step forward. Movies work great and I perfer to play games with the new format. Can't wait to see whats next and how this grows!
