Some people and I prefer the old layout, and some are liking the new one, can't you just add a Option Button so it would be much fair, for those who like the old one and new? :)

it NEEDS to be changed back it really messes up some of us really old newgrounds users who know and love the old format it going all freakin Nonoba all over again GNAH!!! if your going to update it do it over time not in one big swoop!!!

I don't understand how anyone thinks this looks nice. It looks more like my browser decided to stop running some script, and therefore didn't load the page correctly. We could already view Flash submissions in the same window, and it looked much cleaner. I don't see much of a point in this.

Some flashes really suit, some really don't.

I'm sure you guys can make it work though.

I'm not really liking this wide layout. It's lagging like crazy and is just buggy.

For those of you who used the old setting
and could not see part of the game or movie at the bottom

use CTRL+ mouse scroll to change the wepage size
but only do it after you open the internet dont do it while
on the newgrounds website

Couple of more things now I've had a long think about it:

Authors in title bar would be awesome. The voting bar a bit higher (maybe above the author comments, though this'd look a bit higgeldy piggeldy.

Sorry, call me retarded, but how is this any different to when it was in a pop-up? When it was in a pop-up you'd still have to wait just as long for it to load :S

I preferred the old one myself. I liked to read some reviews before I bother loading up a game or movie but the new layout does look good.

To me it sucks, but it'll be okay with some improvements.

And also, it's troublesome to scroll down to see authors comments (which I always do before playing, and I don't think I'm the only one?). Then scroll up to watch the flash. Then scroll down to rate. Terribly annoying!

Or, what I would prefer, make an option to switch back the old layout. Even if you did something to things I mentioned above, I'd still prefer the way it was before. It was better, for small reasons (like the age rating thingy, which was easier to spot and understand before than now).

And a bug, kind of. I can't see flashes under judgment. I'm using a flashblock, and I can't unblock the flashes after I first unblock "Under Judgement- Play" flash and press play. Then it just shows the block. Is it it that the "Under Judgement- Play" flash is transparent, but over the actual flash?

Well, yeah, I could disable the whole flashblock thingy from NG (like I had it disabled before) if you made that play button...

Maybe it was just me.. but once I started playing a game the 'back' button on my browser wouldnt work.

Yeah detergentine, I totally agree with you. There should be account options that can toogle the old and new style, because I got too used to the old settings and I hate this new one, because when I start a flash movie (or game), lots of problems:
1. The movie (game) stays blank.
2. The movie (game) doesn't load.
3. My internet crashes.
4. My browser quits.
5. The pop-up button doesn't even work.
6. The night button makes the whole internet screen darker except for the flash.
7. The screen is then too wide.
Tom, I really hope now that you can make it possible for us others who preferred the old layout to switch back to the ol' stuff.
Please Tom, fix this chaos or you "might" lose a large part of the NG community from this website.

I agree, I don't want to scroll all over the place just to see feedback or vote. Also it's very annoying the flash starts once you load the page, sometimes you want to check out the comments or something first. Especially considering there are some popup spam flashes or flashes with really annoying music.

True, maybe Tom can just add a dinky little play button on the top that launches when clicked on? Maybe?

I didn't (obviously) read the whole topic, but i for one don't like the new lay-out. It's a good concept, but it's slightly too big. I don't like the fact that the edges of the flash are stretched out of the taskbar which contains flash/audio portals, games, movies etc.

The "Related Content" info needs to re-populate with proper results. Until then you will see a lot of content that doesn't feel very related... The end result should be much better.

If you want to test the "Max Size" button, which makes Flash fill the width of the layout, try it on these!

You can still open Flash in a pop-up as well, and the moon icon dims the lights, like the lightbox layout we had before this. Give it a minute to soak in and let us know if anything is totally broken.
