sony's time to shine gears for PS3 maybe?it's made by epic games sooo it's possible but i have too say when i saw that ! i crapped myself with joy

Hate to be nit-picky, but it's called Metal Gear: Rising.

I know it's somewhat insignificant, but is anyone even slightly please by the announcement of the new Lego Indiana Jones game? I really liked playing the first one, thanks to it's presentation, humor, and fun multi-player action. I hope the sequel is just as good, but I'm not so sure, since it's based on the newest Indy movie.

Oh well, worst comes worst, you'll at least have a chance to beat up a virtual Lego version of Shia LaBeouf.

This is true. From a technical standpoint, pretty cool, but from a game and interactive standpoint, extremely depressing. Peter Molyneux needs to give up on this bullshit "emotional experience" regime. Sure, I've had emotional experiences from games, but usually just because the gameplay was good and the story was solid, not because the game tried it's hardest to make me feel them. It looks pretty good to be honest, I cringed at first when he said motion control but at least they've actually got more advanced technology than Sony and Micrsoft.

I feel it's a good thing Microsoft's done this, basically shitting all over Motion Plus, making references to "pre set waggle controls" to try and piss off Nintendo, from their point of view to steal some of the Wii's userbase, but from my point of the view raising the bar a little. Competition is a good thing.

But seriously... Left 4 Dead 2... in Louisiana. With melee weapons, and little else. Fine I say. I'd rather pay £40 for this and get it in 5 months time as opposed to 2 years for Valve to slowly trickle out DLC.

And as a primary Xbox 360 user, undeniably there would be the whole TF2 class debacle would happen yet again and we'd be forced to wait for Left 4 Dead 2 to come out as DLC, which may take longer.

Utterly bored by Forza 3, Splinter Cell, and Modern Warfare 2, but again those aren't my types of games.

I'm primarily happy with the console side of things, being an Xbox and Wii owner. Nintendo can't disappoint me after last year, so the best I can hope for is a new Zelda. I'd even be interested to see Spirit Tracks, as if they remove the boring repetitive dungeon it will be a great game that Phantom Hourglass could have been.

I don't think Nintendo can really try and show off anything like Wii Fit with a peripheral as Natal... or whatever it's called can do it already.

Also, anybody else find it bitterly funny how after showcasing a +$100 dollar peripheral that you'd need to play Tony Hawk Ride, Microsoft essentially showed how it could do that with their own piece of (most likely cheaper) hardware? It's like they were shooting themselves in the foot, getting rights to an exclusive peripheral controlled game, then outdoing it.

Right that's /rant for me, untill of course the Sony and Nintendo conferences rear their (most likely sheepish) heads tomorrow.

Project Natal looks cool. A wii-killer, and the best part is, you'll but the natal sensor or whatever, then you won't need any controllers for guitar, although the games will probably cost more at first

Holy shit the 1 CoD4 map pack was total shit. The WaW one was alright but I have not been impressed by CoD DLC as of yet.

So what did everybody think about the conference as a whole, not just one specific part. Did Microsoft do a good job of balancing both hardcore and casual material?

I think they did. Things like the twitter/facebook and most of "natal" I probably will never touch but the game line up they provided I will. A lot of them are day 1 buys. In comparison to last year I thought it was much, much better. They essentially said fuck the charts, we're showing games (hardcoare and casual). They didn't make a multiplatform release their biggest announcement (they moved on from hideo like it was nothing) and all and all they just really provided content for everybody which they have been really struggling to do.

Don't go around saying "x" console is done and all that because Sony and Nintendo have yet to go. They could have just as great conferences or greater so lets wait until after E3 for that part of the discussion.

Oh yeah and they slapped Nintendo in the face with the "waggle" comment. That wasn't Microsoft really, just the guy who is heading the product for them. Still funny.

Personally, I think Microsoft's press conference was better this year. Wasn't hard to beat though...

Yeah, I'm excited for what Sony is going to announce for sure. Nintendo isn't my thing since the Wii, but I always at least keep track of what they are doing. You have to admit that the Wii and Sony EyeToy had to be major influences for Microsoft's development of project Natal.

I'm just looking through the list of other E3 announcements - Guitar Hero 5 band list, no System of a Down (unhappy face) but Scars on Broadway (big grin), Kaiser Chiefs .. plus other classics (iron maiden, nirvana, eagles of death metal).. not too shabby.

Crysis 2 on multiplat, not too bothered since I didn't like the original but my friend is a bit pissed that they might dumb the game down (he's a PC gamer). Starcraft 2 this year sounds good..

Considering Bioshock 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 have already been announced for the Xbox 360 that isn't going to happen. Sony may get a game from Epic, but it wont be Gears of War. It was started and signed as a trilogy for Microsoft. KH3 is the only possible one on that list.

Why do you wish they were exclusive? It is already confirmed it is not going to happen and all of them games are or will be on the Playstation platform with the exception of Gears 3. So other than Gears of War 3, I don't see the point in the list.
