PS3 80 gig with 2 games for $399 (current price of the standard 80 gig without the games). The new sku goes on sale starting June 9th, the week following E3.

So unless they sell the regular 80 gig without the games bundled in for a cheaper price (which I don't see happening) I don't see a price cut for the PS3 at E3.

Is there any information about what two games come with the system? Hopefully they'll be games actually worth owning rather than games they're just trying to get rid of.

E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Not just video games are shown at E3 and not just Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony have press conferences. They are just the big 3.

I am never buying another Rockband or Guitar Hero game again. Every other month there is a new game.

Have you crossed off the Japanese companies who aren't making an appearance due to the deadly outbreak of swine flu? All I know so far is Capcom, Square-Enix and Koei most likely won't be there, haven't heard of any others though.

High Voltage announces The Grinder, a new online co-op FPS for the Wii.

It looks like it might be a good game, but it's pretty obvious that they're just trying to make a Wii version of Left 4 Dead. Regardless, High Voltage has shown that they've been trying really hard to use the Wii to its full potential. If they're able to make The Conduit as good as they say it's going to be, then I'll definatly be looking forward to this game.

Destructoid's E3 Predictions.

Instead of a normal list of educated guesses based on the varying leaks and rumors that have been cropping up as of late, I decided to explore the seedy streets of Los Angeles to find a real-life psychic to do the predicting for us!

To some extent Dead Rising 2, however I wasn't the biggest fan of the first, too boring in the first few levels, and the thought of multiple playthroughs annoyed me.

Due to switching to Dish network, I have lost G4, and cannot see this event. Is this going to be hosted on Spike?

It seems like there's practically nothing that's new and original being shown at E3. Sure, you got games like Heavy Rain and others I'm not remembering, but aside from them, 95% of the games are sequels or spinoffs. I know this has always been an issue in recent years, but damn, it seems like there's even more sequels than there was in past years.

Not that there's a problem with sequels, though. I am looking forward to news of Pikmin 3, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, and some other games on the PS3.

It looks pretty cool, but it probably would have been better if it was done as an FPS. The whole on-rails shooter genre seems a bit dated. I'd much rather be able to freely move around rather than just point and shoot at stuff.

Games like Mirror's Edge and Dead Space didn't do as well as the companies would have liked them too. They did well compared to other games but not enough to really make a profit. This gen games are expensive to make and in the current economic setting we live in it isn't always feasible to be risky and create a new game that nobody may like.

That isn't to say there isn't going to be creativity. A lot of the new and creative games haven't been announced yet. Not just games, but accessories, software updates etc can be innovative.

On a side note, Spike T.V. at 11 est are showing off like 17 trailers for games and I believe some of them are new ones so be sure to tune in.

Ok so here is my Microsoft prediction list for what is going to go down at E3.

-Zune HD showed off new integration with Xbox and Xbox Live specifically in video
-Halo 3: ODST, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Forza Motorsport 3, All Points Bulletin, Lost Planet 2, new Lionhead game, new game(s) from Rare all shown off. All exclusive on the 360. LP2 may be timed exclusive
-Avatars heavily more implemented in Xbox Live and gaming
-Handful of Microsoft partnerships (Hulu perhaps)
-Full Motion Camera announced. Wont be tacky, actually quality.
-Crapload of new XBLA games
-Primetime channel release date announced
-New exclusives announced, a look into the future for what will be coming in future years

And that's about all I can predict right now with all the rumors I've gathered and sifted through to see what seems legit.
