They started off so well with NSMB Wii but god damn it! Wii Fit Plus?

NSMB Wii was neat.

Wii Fit plus is boring. If I wanted to be healthy I wouldn't have video games as a hobby. I'm sure at least half of those 15 million boards sold are now sitting in the back of a closet.

Yeah the Mario game that actually looks cool. If LittleBigPlanet taught me anything is that 4 player side scrolling games are fun.

I'm sure it will be fun, but to pretend it's the newest, most innovative Mario title, is nonsense. It's just a Wii version of the DS one, changed up for the Wii.

They were hyping it up as a "4D" game, and then they reveal a 2D sidescroller. I'd like a little elaboration on the third and fourth dimensions. On the bright side, this conference is much easier to keep notes on than the Microsoft one.

I agree, it's just confusing to developers and consumers that it's coming out now. Do all games have two modes for people with and without Wii Motion Plus? Are certain games going to require it meaning that everyone will eventually required to buy it. How expensive is it going to be? How much more will people with four controllers need to pay to upgrade.

And for the record this year's conference is nowhere near as terrible as last ones. Still waiting for a bombshell though, but there's plenty of time left for that.

Jercurpac - They said that Wii-Motion Plus will be compatible with past games, using 1:1 motion. Of course that was last year.

I think they said Bleach: Shattered Blade was the only exception. But it was mainly for sword games.

The new Super Mario Bros will sell great, looks fun and the casual gamer market will lap it up.

Golden Sun DS is fantastic, I actually did an out loud "YES!" when they announced that.

Rest of show is of course "HAHA WE'RE SELLING SHITLOADS OF SHITTY GAMES LOL", Wii Motion Plus, again, and Wii Fit Plus, yawn.
