Acapella Music Collab.

I got the okay from WritersBlock to do this project and to move it to the Audio Forum, yo.

Basically, me and a few others were thinking about an Acapella Music Collab. What is it? Well, it's just like this:

A few people sing, a few others will hum the melody. And if we get a lot of people, I'll end up splitting it into groups, so everyone can do a song. We'll decide on a song around June 10th, I've just been asking a few people if they want to be in it and to suggest some songs. But the song I've been really stuck on is Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. It isn't the official song. It's certainly circling my mind.

The list is here. It will be updated frequently, so if any problems come up, no worries.

A lot of people seem to be interested in the idea, but not very sure, and a lot of people wanted me to move this into the Audio Forum.

The question is, are you in?

Hide and Go Seek is fairly simple to do so, what gets really fun is when someone arranges a song for a cappella. I'm kind of weak at arranging, does anyone else have that mad skill?

I'd love to do more projects in the future. But the only contest I can think of out of this is splitting it into different groups and see who's the most organized with their work. I doubt we'd get prizes, but it's worth a shot. I'll contact WritersBlock and see what I can make of this.

Yah, you can always talk to Tom Fulp about possibly backing the idea. However if anything it'd be fun to listen to and work with. Even if there isn't prizes there's still braggin rights =). Glad you liked the idea.

Good news!

I talked to Rig and Rucklo about it, they've given the okay to make it into a Challenge instead of a Contest. So we'll get more people and then on June 10th - 15th I'll break them up into teams and by June 18th they'll need to have a song.

I'll talk over with others to get a Deadline. Hopefully it'll be at the end of July.

I have more of a great idea! We could come up with our own songs instead of using existing ones! Creative would play a part in it too!

Ooow if there are teams, can my team (considering I get on) do something like lord of the rings or a game theme - This is my early Lord of the Rings A cappella

and this is my attempt at jurrasic park, I think doing something like this would be more fun, who knows. What do you think?

No that's not what I meant, I'm a solo artist, I occasionally colab with assassin2, but yeah. The whole point of me joining this colab is so I can work with other people. My point was that doing a rendition of a film or game tune would be a possibility. Though im up for pretty much anything. Put me on a team please :D

ime Stretching Acapellas
I was wondering how to go about time stretching acapellas in Reaper. I'm looking for something that I could punch in the original tempo of the acapella and then punch in the tempo of my project and Reaper would stretch to fit the tracks tempo.
