NB: This topic involves Australians.

So anyway, a few days ago there was a shooting in Kings Cross. Here is an incredibly brief and nondescript news article concerning the event. For those of you not in the know, Kings Cross is basically the red light district of Sydney.

What was interesting though was the live capture they got from the scene. They've got this random girl talking, Clare, and it is both hilarious and demoralising. Attention should be given to the goons at the end with the infamous quote "I saw the Glock 9. It was awesome".

I also find it hard to believe there is a news reporter in this world who is actually familiar with internet culture. Who would have thought someone in a media outlet made a slideshow of motivational pictures?

ahahaha I heard about this chick at work! I got the impression she was trashed though, she didn't seem that bad in the video. It was that other bitch that was trying to pull Jake away from the cameras that annoyed the fuck out of me.

I recognised every shot in the video and the pictures... I walk through that exact area every day to get to work. What an adventure!

Maybe Australians can be a bit too relaxed sometimes. I'm not sure if you have the term elsewhere, but here Wog is somewhat a slang/semi-racist term for a Greek person. Also, she wasn't really out of it, more inappropriate in her description.

It is not as derogatory of an insult in the Australian colloqiual language as it is in other countries.

lol yeah they were definatly drunk. sometimes we say things we probably shouldn't when we are drunk. Such as racial slurs or that some getting shot very near to where you are is awesome. imagine what the people on tv are going to think when they see themselves on tv. what their friends and family and coworkers will think. sucks to be you.

Wog isn't a term to refer to criminals. More of a term to refer to anyone who isn't Anglo-Celtic.
I think she was talking about Middle Easterners, most likely Lebanese ones.
Where I live the term wog normally applies to Lebanese people. Her impression of them also makes them seem like the stereotype of a fuly sik leb.
