Agreed. NG is NOT a porn site. We don't need that here. This is supposed to be telling a story to a certain extent, something we do see in Animé course always having that ever present Hardcore gratuitous nudity to which you will never get any complaints from the hardcore Animé fanboys...

The motto is "Everything by everyone" so I think we should allow hentai here as it's more about freedom of choice to do whatever you do.

I fail to see politics

Pornography is anything that is sexual explicit, so hentai is a form of porn. Kids should'nt watch it. They're too young for sex related material.

I'm going to wait until you're in your mid thirties with a family (lol), find out where you live and take some hentai over there. THEN you tell me that hentai is okay for kids.

Sooner or later a kids sexuality will peak,
banning porn or otherwise really won't do much, it will always be available in one capacity or another.

The only thing a person can do, is try to teach their kin, what they feel to be right "values".
Hopefully they will be able to take those values into consideration, when they face their sexuality.

For the record unbanning it wouldn't be a good idea either, although changing the purchasing age to sixteen would make sense for various reasons.

But yeah the original argument wasn't that great...

Oddly enough, NG ads were mainly porn sites most of them were indeed hentai porn sites. They were, not anymore. When I first joined NG that's what every single ad on NG was saying "click here for free hentai" "Live hentai webcam chat here" one even said "Free hentai, type in preference here" was tempted to type in Fully Clothed

I personally think that most porn is extremely sexist, and I often only watch it for comedic purposes (the cheap story line, cliche, bad acting, etc...) but why is it so wrong that people watch other people nude? Yeah, it stimulates us, but is it really *that* morally wrong.

oh yes, because cartoons have no influence on children at all. i mean they are just lines so they can't affect such easily influenced minds

lol just a little, but i don't think the issue is so much if it's morally wrong, it's more whether or not its suitable for children.

cuz we don't want our daughters to be whores... or german.... *cringes*

because the only difference between porn and hentai is that it is a cartoon. it's still sexual and is porn so unless you believe that porn should be available to underaged people then i'd rethink that.

Because everybody everywhere is too easily offended by EVERYTHING!!! That's the trouble with our society! Society blows!

The problem with the age limit is that it really doesn't do much. It slows a younger person down from getting it, but if a young person under 18 really wants it, they'll learn ways of getting it for free. I mean, with all the search bars on the internet, something free will turn up eventually.

So really, leaving the 18 or up limit really doesn't matter. Because if there's a will, there's a way.

That is what I see as being disturbing about Hentai as well RydiaLockheart.

So much of it has the characters as being very young. I don't see any of the other posters here really mentioning that fact. While I get the fact this is just drawn images, they are images of what appears very often to be prepubescent girls so I don't see that as being ok.
The idea of drawn porn, whether it be sex with aliens, rape or any other perversion though doesn't phase me at all, because it is fantasy...I just don't believe child fantasy like that is healthy!

It's not so much about the pictures, because not all nude pictures are 18 and over, it's the adult situations that parents don't want their children knowing about. You can't possibly say hentia is less obscene than anything real.
