Joking aside though, I think that's wrong. If others believe in something then you should have the respect to not force things onto them. I personally think that's very wrong if people sneak meat on your veg. Slap 'em with a fish. Wait you're a vegan aren't you, so I guess you can slap 'em with a cucumber or something...

Me too. I've never actually known of a militant vegan, I've only heard of them. I think they might be myths, like Big Foot and Loch Ness.

I only insult the ones who preach to me about eating meat, because I need 3 times the amount of fat and 5000 calories to maintain my 120 lbs of wait let alone gain any. Therefore you're telling me to slowly waste away because I can't get all that fat from veggies.

A really good friend of mine is Vegan, but if I ever eat dinner at his house his mother will always make me or order me something with meat. I'm not a big fan of veggies and fruits.

Man, I don't really mind vegetarians whatsoever, as long as they're not going about trying to enforce their ways onto everyone else. I was a vegetarian for 5 years once, but am now a meat eater once again. When I was a vegetarian, I never told anyone that "they shouldn't eat meat", as I feel everyone is entitled to their own choices/beliefs and never believed it was in my place to say otherwise. This should be how most vegetarians think.

But then again, people these days believe they're the ones who are right and need to voice out their opinions to each and every person they meet. Many vegetarians happen to be this way.

I'm of the opinion that someone can eat whatever they want, it's their diet at the end of the day.

My girlfriend is a vegetarian, but she doesn't try and convert me. I think it's rather ignorant to suggest that just because someone is vegetarian, then they'll tell every meat-eater that they know to stop.

Just because you get a few nutters doesn't mean you should make such sweeping generalisations.

I haven't had a problem with vegetarians yet. Most of the ones I know don't even make it that obvious, and they certainly don't look down on me for eating meat.

Today I was eating in the Sirloin Stockade that is within walking distance from my office and I was eating a nice piece of meat (I had, as a matter of fact, my plate full of meat) when a hippie-look-a-like woman came close to me and say "You should not eat meat"...I stared at her eyes and then at her plate and all she had were vegetals!

Who the fuck goes to Sirloin Stockade just to eat salads? That woman was fucking crazy...

I'm vegetarian myself, and when I first told people I got a lot of shit for it. I think it's ridiculous that people (like in this thread) get andry over a personal choice people make, while it doesn't affect them at all. Okay, to OP, I don't think that lady should've mentioned it to you that you shouldn't eat meat, as it's a personal choice. I don't care that other people eat meat, I'm just happy that I don't.

I get a bit disgusted when I see meat in a store, so I just look away. I'm also annoyed when people who know that I'm vegetarian purposely show the meat in my face.

Sometimes I think those people are just jealous they don't have the discipline to make such a choice and give up something they like.

Also, if meat would be necessary for people, then how would you explain that vegetarians live?

Seriously, I don't see what the problem is with people not eating people. That just means there's more for you. So stop making a big deal of it, as it's just downright stupid to get angry over something that doesn't affect you in any way.
