Two anime's that made me really sad were Chrno's crusade and Wolf's Rain. Really intense. Cowboy Bebop was epic. I liked Deathnote for their really great artwork, but kind of scary if you could kill people using only a notebook and a pen. Lucky Star and Melancholy were pretty epic and original. There's so many.

Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebob, TriGun, Outlaw Star, erm thats all.
A spear in your chest and a fire in your ass. I only play as Scorpion in MK games, because I'm that much of a fanboy.

The only ones I can sit through are
Death Note, Evangelion, Hellsing (not so much anymore though) and Elfen Lied.
Most other shit just annoys me.

Most any anime run on adult swim, excluding paranoia agent, and Moribito. I also highly enjoy Sgt. Frog, and Tsubasa.

I have a few ones, and my reasons why:
DBZ: I don't know where to begin, I have OVER 9000 reasons to like it. (Oh c'mon, you saw that coming a mile away.)
Rucky Stah!: It's actually really funny. I just like listening to Japanese schoolgirls chatter.
Saiyuki: I haven't watched it in a long time, but from what I remember watching with my big brother, it's a really cool anime with lots of blood and violence.

Oh - I can't forget FLCL because it's freakin' awesome, Samurai X because it's a more mature version of Ruroni Kenshin (Literally, same characters, same universe, same time, just swears and more blood) and Wolf's Rain because it's very actiony.

Tenchi Muyo (Did I spell that right? That one's old too.)
Neon Genesis Evangilion
.HACK//Sign
Samurai Champloo
Shin Chan
FLCL
I practically grew up off of this stuff. I think Japan was attempting to take over the US through television during my childhood and managed to get a hold of [adult swim] for a while.
AS should show more of this stuff. They complain that no one watches it, but that's because the took down the really good stuff.
I dont even.

Also, Cowboy Bebop. How could I forget that?
This doesn't even count the movies I've seen. That's it, Japan owns my brain. Oh well, they can have it.
I dont even.

Gurren Lagann, despite the fact that it ruined me for anything not involving giant robot fights and/or space battles. It's just that fucking awesome. Or FLCL: before Gurren Lagann, it was my only Gainax experience. I might not have enjoyed Gurren Lagann as much had I been a Gainax virgin.
