That crappy medal system

Most of the time I've played games, I don't get experiance points for the medals I might earn. I'd be far past 20 If It wern't for the glitch. The glitch happens when you create an account. If you earned medals on that account, and then come back the next day and earn meadls w/ out logging in, no more exp for you! Stinks, huh?
P.S. Please don't flame me if some1 already found this. Just reply.

Same like the guy above me, you don't get experience from medals. You level up by rating submissions every day.

And you get medals w/ prestige points by playing those flash games on your account, when it's signed in. Make sure that you're logged in and actually meeting the requirements of medals.

This is completely true. Back around it's time of release, many people were asking what special purpose the system had, and some people were disappointed that they didn't add experience, but despite this there haven't been any changes, and there probably won't be any in the future, which is something I'll be glad about.

Another question that constantly pop up over in Wi/Ht?. You need to have 'Contributed to the site', meaning that you must have either a Flash or audio submissions of your own in the portal, favourite someone else's flash or audio submission or create a newspost before they are displayed. They'll probably be added to the list of things that count as contributing soon, to avoid this problem.

You're medals probably aern't showing up because you haven't done anything with your profile and your account isn't formatted to show just medals. Try making a news post and see if they appear then.

You'd be far past 20 if you voted on Flash submissions. Earning medals does nothing for experience points.

If the points you got from medals would be exp, you wouldn't be level 20

Not a glitch. You can only earn medals if you're logged in. Also medals don't grant exp, the points that received through medals aren't related to your Newgrounds level at all.

I know! It may just be a bad connection for me, but that level prior to the last one you need to beat to get the first medal is unbeatable.

As has been suggested, you used to have to have other elements filled out in your account for medals to show up. I have since changed that, so even if you don't have anything else other than medals in your account, they'll still show up there.

@OP - if you check your userpage now, you'll see all of the medals you have accrued there.
