I posted this on a greenday music video that was filled with "chain comments" :

1. Take your thumb and put it up your ass
2. Do not copy paste this. Ever.
3. Dont make any comments like this or similar to this one. It's stupid, like this comment is.

And people are actually copy pasting it now. Youtube is a total wasteland of spam and idiots. The only point to even comment on videos anymore is to troll and flame others.

Youtube sucks, but the crappy thing is, is that we will never stop using it, no matter what.

Honestly, there are videos from years ago with retarded comments like that on them. I remember seeing one in particular, wherein the author had videotaped himself playing with some videogame hacks. He stated where he got said hacks in the video itself, and his author comments, and yet 50% of all the comments he got were still filled with "OMG how did you get it to do that!??!!!1".

Youtube commenters are dumb as shit. They always were, and they always will be.

I use Youtube everyday, but I've never left a comment. I rarely even read them because of how stupid they usually are.

They are helpful though when you come across the occasional screamer.

A lot of people who make videos on youtube are cool, and funny. The people who don't are mainly just losers who browse, troll, spam, and think "lolcocks" is hysterical, simply because it's too easy to spam there. It takes so little effort, has a big impact if done by many, and is hard to track because of the massiveness of youtube.

Yeah, youtube is mainly made of losers who steal other people's work, but it does have some good sides. Funny (original) videos being submitted every day, tutorials for the needy, and a place to put your work. HOWEVER. I think the evils of youtube outweigh the goods of it. I think it should be taken down and replaced with some sort of "filtered" version, where every video submitted is reviewed by one of the thousands of moderators/admins appointed. Otherwise, there will always be the spammer.

Here is how to save youtube... not that it deserves this but still.....

1. Remove commenting option. - I never read the things, but from what i've heard they are never ever useful or good.

2. Allow only one clip of a certain thing to be shown. - Think of this as an anti theft thing of sorts, we dont need 600 different versions of the same clip of a baby sticking its finger up its nose, one is already to much.

3. No more of those fucking pop up captions. - Like i said, i dont read comments, so i sure as fuck to want to be forced to read them during the video.

4. Video responses are banned. - No one, and i mean NO ONE wants to see and hear your response to a video that shouldnt have been made in the first place.

5. Age limit - If you are under 21 (18 year olds are still shit sacks) you arent allowed to make or post a video. If you lie about the age just to post your rant about the latest mario fancition you wrote you will be IP banned. And on that note...

6. No more video rants. - If the only content of a video is some idiot sitting in front of the webcam doing something stupid and saying stupid shit, take it down.

7. SHUT DOWN YOUTUBE! - It was a nice experiment and the world proved they cant have nice things. Dont reward stupidity, punish it by making everyone sit in the corner and think about what they have done.

Another time I posted a comment on a video about the swine flu. It went something like, "I saw the swine flu on the news, so it must make you crap out all of your organs and make your arms fall off."

Someone responded telling me I was wrong and fully explained the swine flu situation. WTF? Are regular YouTube users so stupid that they can't understand satire and sarcasm? Or do they like to feel like they are smart for two seconds?

There is hope though, several people +1'd the comment.
