How did you surivive it without turning into a cynic, an apathetic void of emptiness, a general asshole who only cares about feeding his own ego, someone very depressed or whatever else fitting in this context **Insert here**

For me personally the educational system destroyed me, so tell me how did you survive it?

No, no, really it's an understatement when I say that it destroyed me.

It.. destroyed me. And I'm not at school anymore since March, all I can do now is "be destroyed", isn't that funny. It took everything from me, feeling, emotion, the will to life, happiness, everything.

As for surviving high school, it really wasn't a big deal. I don't mind being cynical and blah blah blah. I think I'd vomit if I came out of high school some bubble brained cheer leader or some crap.

Real advice, if you want to survive high school, life and anything else; Don't show people your weaknesses.

Making emo threads and journal entries just is going to bring more ridicule and thus, continue the cycle of emo. If you're not freaking happy at least PRETEND like the rest of the world does.

Dare I say it...people with REAL mental issues usually hide them. The last thing they want is to parade them out for the world to see and face backlash.

This. Seriously unless you got ass raped everyday by a very large black man, it didn't "destroy" you. Sure you get told what to do for a while but it's not that bad. People around the world are struggling to survive and you get "destroyed" by the privilege of an education system. A lot of people would love to be in your situation, have some perspective.

Humiliation, people being mean to me, very mean words repeating themselves over and over in the present, not going away. Making me want to kill myself, girls coming up to me wanting to talk, don't know what to say. Getting bullied for almost 2 years in my class, I've taught myself how to get mentally out of reality in a splitsecond and stay there. Like someone traumatized (which I'm also now), the only reason I still got gf's once I was out there at school was because of how incredibly pathetic I am and how it attracted them for someone reason. But it will all be over very soon.

An insult only hurts if you let it hurt, why do you care about what they think of you?

I was ALWAYS made fun of, bullied, and I never had a Girl friend, or friend for that matter I just eventually stopped caring, I'd rather be myself and alone, rather then sell my soul and be like everyone else. They usually just target you since they are afraid of you, and be letting them get to you, you let them win.

Look high school is going to be mean, cruel, and demeaning. But it can also be good, memorable, and funny. It depends on your outlook of high school. I my first year wasn't the best on the planet, but I moved on. I looked forward to a better tomorrow. Just try and have fun. You only have four years there anyway.

I'm pretty sure having some friends and sticking up for yourself when bullied is an acceptable and effective means through which to survive High School. I mean come on, it's not that difficult to fit in. Just don't be a douche and you'll be alright, I'm sure those God-awful suburban kids won't tease you to the point of depression.
