Unique is the quality of being different. By saying everyone is unique, you're saying that everyone has their own way of being unique, but everyone has the same quality of being unique.

Their the same in their uniqueness.

Uniqueness in humans is a moot point. Humans will always want what somebody else has, or want to be like somebody else, so to be completely unique is, in itself, unattainable.

A good example are scene and emo kids. They like to talk about how they want to be "different", but in reality, are all shopping at Hot Topic and shit.

Those two are the same because they are unique.
Man 1 writes really unique poetry
Man 2 delvopes really unique mathamatical theories.

Both these men are unique, yet they are the same. Their the same because they are both unique. Unique in different ways but still unique. They aren't unique in the same ways, but still unique in some way, and thus, both the same in one way. Unique and same are oppisates yes, its the application and manipulating of the concepts that create the paradox.
