Does anyone else think that it is too hard to invite/communicate with someone to a game with all this no-party chat cock blockage?

I almost completed the campaign when essentially everybody on my friends list wanted to play multiplayer. The game is what to be expected, a beefed up CoD4 that expands on what they "perfected" in the first game.

One thing I must say is they really did a better job on the maps this time around. In the first MW the maps were small and if they were big they often had many dead ends. The majority of maps I played last night you could essentially go 360 degrees around the whole map and the maps were on a much bigger scale.

It's one of the best first person shooters I've ever played, but not the best game I ever played. It is worth a pick up of you're into a short 4-5 hour campaign experience. If you're into online gaming on consoles, you should probably pick this game up right now or you will be playing your games alone for awhile.

I've been accused of glitching several times already because I was on the crane on high rise. I wonder if there are any other cool areas like that in the other maps.

Anyone else having difficulty connecting to the matchmaking server and fetching stats? I didn't have any problems last night, but it just takes forever to connect to the server than gets stuck on "fetching".

I've had trouble matchmaking, took me about 20 minutes to get a match last night. If it doesn't find a match within a coulpe of minutes, just keep refreshing it. I've had no problem with stats though.

I like it that they've listened to the fans on this one and given what they wanted. I'm loving the 2 attachments perk online - I'm adding a red dot sight AND a silencer to most of my rifles.

They are updating the servers for higher bandwidth.

Also, those having trouble inviting on the PS3? Look no further, there is a way to fix it until they patch it Friday.

What you do is remove the person from your friends list, then add them again. You will then be able to invite them whenever you want.

Dammit, America, why the fuck do we have to honor the soldiers on the day MW2 was supposed to arrive?!

In progress. The trophies were added last night, and it's meant to have caused this to happen. I have no idea if it's what happened, but I'm going by what fourzerotwo (Infinity Ward's Community Manager) has said.

Was I completely horrified near the end?? Yes.

It was very hard in me to slay my fellow Americans, even if they are just video game characters, and even though they burned ***** and **** to death.

Modern Warfare 2 improved upon Call of Duty 4 in EVERY aspect.

The maps are WAY larger, gives it a more tactical and less frantic feel. I love it, every map impresses me and is fun to play.

The graphics are also extremely astounding, probably the best I've seen on the Xbox 360 ever.

The number of guns and the variety of them astounds me, plus all the attachments looks sleek and aesthetically amazing with any gun. The new red dot sight looks WOAH, EVERYTHING IS.

I LOVE THE PREDATOR MISSILE.

I LOVE MODERN WARFARE 2.

FREAK I LOVE THIS GAME MORE THAN ANY OTHER PIECE OF ENTERTAINMENT IN HISTORY.

TY INFINITY WARD.

NO complaints whatsover, no complaints. That's a feat. At least for me.

This game has so much variety and scale that Modern Warfare 2 will probably stay fresh for years on.

I commend this game as the best video game ever made, maybe just a bit behind LoZ: OoT and a few other lauded classics.

Freak, the killstreak system is perfect. Combat is tight and fun, everything is fun and amazing. Wow wo wowowowowowwowowowowow.

This game delivered for all the hype it received.

My only problem is the lack of closure in Campaign. I guess they just want to ramp us up for MW3.

have not played with a Newgrounder yet. Not even Mr. Alec Silverman or Jordan Wright.

ASSFACES! >:(

I've been playing with my friend's friend. And I'm loving this game. Terminal and watchamacallit are my favourite levels.

So tomorrow I have like the whole night (4-5 or so hours) to play the game on my living room TV which is a nice HDTV. So I would LOVE some people to play with!

I'd say this is pretty much correct, but there are still a few minor things they changed that I don't know if I'm 100% agreeance with. Like, getting rid of the Deep Impact as a perk and turning it into FMJ, which is a gun add-on, making it so if you want to shoot through walls you have to sacrifice having a red dot sight, or use the perk that allows you to have two gun pieces attached. I think it might be because I'm overly used to having red dots, I used them in CoD4 for just about everything, I'm trying to sway away from that and learn to play with the iron sights, because I'm really liking the heart beat monitor, and using Scavenger as my perk.

The maps are WAY larger, gives it a more tactical and less frantic feel. I love it, every map impresses me and is fun to play.

The maps are pretty cool, and the size is good because the older maps feel a bit clustered, even though some of the old maps I really loved. My biggest problem with these new maps is there is too much shit in them. Too many windows, roof tops and little places someone could be. I'm probably just not used to them yet either though and don't know how to navigate them.

The graphics are also extremely astounding, probably the best I've seen on the Xbox 360 ever.

I wouldn't say the best, but they are great. The best thing is the fact that CoD games on consoles always run at 60fps. I fucking hate slow frame rates, probably because I play a lot of PC games. I don't know how people aren't annoyed playing games like Mass Effect or Oblivion with those piss poor frame rates... CoD has proved that console games can fucking run at 60fps and have great graphics, why can't other games catch up?

The number of guns and the variety of them astounds me, plus all the attachments looks sleek and aesthetically amazing with any gun. The new red dot sight looks WOAH, EVERYTHING IS.

Lots of new guns, which I love, but they also removed a lot of the older guns, which makes me sad :( Most have been replaced with almost exact replicas, but I will miss certain guns that seemed to have disappeared. And not unlocking the AK-47 until level 70 makes me very sad, seeing as that was my primary weapon in CoD4. I wonder why they made that change.

I LOVE THE PREDATOR MISSILE.

I love the AC-130 :) You get in that thing and the other team gets pissed off. One guy honestly thought there was hacking going on (I was playing the PC version,) because he didn't realize that you are able to control it yourself, and it's easy as pie to just dominate the other team and get like 15 kills before the time runs out.

Speaking of the PC version, I played with some Infinity Ward guys yesterday. It was me and one guy vs 7 of them, because most of team left for some reason. That was pretty cool to play with them, except for the fact they were all high levels who looked like they had prestiged 7 times already. Anyone else play with any IW guys yet?

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

That's more realistic, though. You can still shoot through walls without FMJ (and Deep Impact on CoD4), just not as much.. I never understood why anyone would use that, it's such a circumstantial weapon. The most killing you will do will be people you can see, but maybe twice per round you will kill someone through a wall - and you can do that without having to sacrifice a perk/attachment, just SLIGHTLY less effectively :L

not unlocking the AK-47 until level 70 makes me very sad

The AK47 was my main weapon in CoD4 too (golden of course), and it kicked major ass.. easily the best weapon in the game, so I can see why it's the one you unlock last.

The graphics are meh - good, but nothing special.

I want this game so bad :( :( :(
I really really really want to get this for my computer and play with people across the land and shoot stuff.

I have like no money though, AND I owe my friend 8 dollars.

I mainly used Deep Impact with the RPD, and it did much more for me than just act as a circumstantial weapon. There are so many times I'll be trailing someone and they will escape narrowly behind a fence, or they will be in a window covered by a wall, and the RPD would cut through it like it didn't even exist. I could snipe people across the map with that gun, even better than the M16. It seems like they changed it up a bit this time around, it feels like it has a bit more recoil.

It was also the only gun I never cared to use a red dot with. I loved the iron sight it had, and you needed that grip if you wanted to snipe across the map.

I loved getting kills like that, though it's much more satisfying when you're using a sniper rifle (the M40A3).. following an enemy and then they disappear, but you still take the shot by guessing where he'll be.. pow :) Even cooler if it's a headshot.

Yeah, the RPD iron sights were fantastic - better than with the RPD. The MP5 was fine too, which was nice cos it was a good gun especially with the silencer.
