My old Elementary school in my neighborhood (seriously, like a 3 minute walk from my house) and my old junior high were put under lockdown because police believe there is a man barricaded in his house about 5 blocks away. I wondered where why there were so many cops on my way home.
During a lockdown, no one is allowed to enter or leave a school campus. Parents can come inside the school to pick up their children, but children who normally walk home are being asked to stay inside the building, a school official said.
Students who normally take the bus from Seguin High School to that area are being taken to Ferguson Junior High where they can be picked up by their parents.
Thank God I don't take the bus anymore. Otherwise I'd dread going back to that place. But in all seriousness, I'm all for safety but I think they're taking it just a wee too far. The man's allegedly in his house so they're going to shut down 2 schools? What the hell. Just don't let kids enter the neighborhood area.

You do realize (did i spell that right?) that its what they want you to believe? If he had guns or something, they would put you into lockdown. They don't tell you whats actually going on.

My story beats yours.
We got lockdowned because a guy was running around town with a gun threatening to shoot up people. And his daughter goes to our school, so they were thinking that he may try going there to kill her or something.
When my school receives a bomb threat, they half-heartedly search us before they let us in (they didn't even look in the main section of my bookbag), and crowd us all into the gym, so that the bomber could get us all in one explosion, to make it easier on them.
