Rig suggested tank treads. This would make for an amazing touch to the case. While pretty in concept, the practice is ugly. I haven't the vaguest idea what I could use to make mini treads. I need help on this.

You could always pick up some old tire pieces off of the side of the road, and wrap them around some old food cans.

My blog has accumulated about 20 responses, so I decided to pull out 3 more people to go on the case. Currently the lineup is:

Tacofreak
Adio
Rig
Homosecksual
Peacekid

Tonight I'll be doing some more work on the DVD drive stealthing. I checked the drive, and to my relief the solder worked. To those of you not familiar with the terminology (everyone), go ahead and take a guess at just exactly what a "stealthed drive" is.

First I need to cut off the little notches on this drive bay cover.

I'm going to need to buy longer power supply cables to do it, but an awesome idea occurred to me.

For now a quick demonstration of concept should suffice.

I finished it.

No one even guessed what DVD stealthing is, I'm sad now. :(

Basically, I'm going to secure the bay cover to the drive, and reroute the leads to the power switch to a button below it. You won't even be able to tell there's a drive installed, and it'll look like sex when it opens.

I made a new Newgrounds skyline that is WAY better.

Its 16x6. :-D

It will print out on two pages if you use landscape and turn "center" options off.

An Angry Faic in place of the power button.

Push angry faic to turn the computer on.

But then it an angry computer! And angry computers always require physical abuse to get them working properly!

Computer case modders will not rest until they somehow make a case entirely out of fans, somehow.

If you JUST run out of paint or something, use a Tank sticker from the Shop to cover it up. Gotta have the full logo somewhere.

Any auto parts store will have a plethora of different drive belts, some with teeth. If you turn a couple toothed belts inside out and wrap them around a couple wheels, that might work.

One of my circular fans will actually be mounted outside of the case, and I'll attach a fan grill which I'll be ordering. Here's the hole...

Today's the big day I guess. I've sketched out a rough outline of the cut with pencil, which will be cut out with a jigsaw, and then I'll go back with a dremel and etch out details. Sole thanks goes to Angrycat for this part.

Predicted shopping list for the rest of the project"
-Black, orange, and white spray paint
-Fan grill
-Sanding kit
-Orange LEDs
-Assorted switches
-New dremel cutting blades
-16.5x6.5 custom cut acrylic window
-Orange cold cathodes
-Custom decal kit

I'm having trouble finding the last 3, even with the help of google. Any leads would be appreciated.

Decided it's time to add 3 more to the name list. So as the french would say...

Without further adieu:

PEOPLE CURRENTLY ON THE LIST:
Adio
Tacofreak
Peacekid
Rig
Homosecksual
Angrycat
Proottalfain
RKthrilla

Remember that to nominate yourself for the list, you need to reply here.
________

Quite simply, I haven't had much time for my case lately, so I figured it would be nice for at least a small update. I cut a slot out of the side panel, because the radius of the fan was preventing the panel from aligning properly.

Hopefully next week I'll be getting some major work on this project.
