Something like this happened to me not to long ago. I was walking with a friend to her house, some guys jumped us, we kicked their asses, they ran away, I think I might have broken one of their arms * I roundHouse Kicked, he blocked with his arm, and I heard a loud SNAP* And I think I could have done something else. I'm glad things worked out, and judging from what you saw on the local T.V I'm sure you're glad you took the actions that you did. Things definitely would have been ugly if he pulled that gun.

I think your a hero you just couldve saved some lives right there because if it got worse with out you the man might have tooken out the gun

He was beating a man's face in with a belt buckle, you had a reason to kick his neck. You'll be fine.

UPDATE

So I went to the cops station....

I had a call on my cell and it was my girl telling me that the cops went to my place asking for me...They wanted to make me some questions... They left an address where I had to go and she gave me the address... "Damn" I thought and I told her to not worry...She didn't want me to go there, but something inside me told me that I had to go and I went...

It was easier and better than I thought...Both of the guys were already there and although I walked really close to them, they didn't recognized me! I was a little surprised at the beginning, then I recalled that it was really dark where everything happened and I hit them so fast that they must not have a good chance to look at me....They were sat on a bench and they guy I punched in the face had a bandage on his nose and you could see his upper lip fucked up...he had lost his maxillary central incisor, maxillary lateral incisor and maxillary canine teeh...all they from his left side... the other guy looked a lot better than him, he had some small cuts on the face and a little bandage on his neck, I guess where the paramedics had to make the Tracheotomy... I kept walking and didn't look back...

I went to the Info desk and I asked for the guy that went to my house asking for me, detective Carlos Sanchez, and I ended on an ordinary desk, waiting for him, because he was in his lunch time...I waited there for around 20 minutes and then a really fat guy showed up...The girl on the Info desk told him something and both looked at me...I felt a little nervous....He came to me and gave me the hand...we shake hands and he tells me "I'm detective Rigoberto Estrada, nice to meet you mr..." and I replied "I'm Oscar Zavala" "Oh yeah, we were waiting for you" he said...

Then he told me things like "You shouldn't had done what you did" "We know you did it because there are like 12 persons that can recognize you" etc...My hands were shaking but I stared at his eyes and he would look back at me when ever he could...he was reading a bunch of papers he had on the desk and told me that he and his partner (Detective Sanchez) work on the drugs division, and that although they weren't happy about what happened, they were "satisfied" for the results... He also pointed out that luckily I was able to stop them before they had a chance to use their gun, because there were many children around when it happened...

I couldn't believe it...I was afraid of go to jail and he was praising me! What the hell... My hands stopped shaking and I felt better...he told me the guys didn't have idea who had kicked their ass and that the police was not going to tell them who was...That the people from that area had called the cops before about these guys, that they were dealing drugs close to the school (The school's name is Martin Luther King Jr. by the way) and since we have the Swine flu here and there's no school for the kids, the dealers had been making a lot of problems on the neighborhood...

It seems both of them are going to jail for carry a gun without legal permission and for drug dealing...They would also add the the charge for attack a person, but the guy that was hit by them (The one that was taken off the car) but they guy never showed up to press charges and if he doesn't show up in the next 24 hrs, they won't add that charge...However, for the drug dealing and the gun, the guy with the fucked face might be in jail from 5 to 7 years and the guy I hit on the neck from 3 to 5 years...I wish this guy could stay on jail for longer...I mean, he hit that guy and Carolina's father with the belt! Carolina's father is ok but the other guy had some serious injuries on his face.... I guess he didn't show up because he's scare of what could do to his family or to him if he press charges...

So I walked out of the police station after they took my statement...when I passed next to the bench where the bad guys were, they were not there anymore...

I didn't go back to the office, I called Laura to his cellphone and told him that everything was fine and that I was going to take the day...So I went home, I ate some chicken Laura made and I fell sleep a little bit after eat...I woke up 1 hour ago and I came to post this...Laura told me that he saw the guys on the 3:30 pm news on a local TV station and there were other reporter taking pics of them...Hopefully those guys will be in the newspapers tomorrow, so as soon as I get tomorrow's newspapers I'll scan the paper so you can see them....

I want to thank everybody's support...I mean, you guys are great! I was afraid of share this, because I thought you wouldn't believe me or that you'll laugh at me or something like that...I also want to point out that one of the reasons I was away from Newgrounds was a comment someone left when I shared something related to my personal life... But now I feel like in home.... there's no better place than Newgrounds :)

I'm glad to see that things worked out OK. You may have took the law into your own hands slightly, but you were protecting loved ones, and innocent people, so bravo to you.

Yes...he seemed to be pretty fine... The other guy's face was awful....

Even if you did kill them, which you probably didn't, because a broken nose and all isn't enough to kill a man.. even if there is a lot of blood loss at the scene, there is still a very high chance that the ambulances and police crews that arrived would give the people the attention they need..

Your not going to jail, as it can't really be claimed as assault, seeing as you were meerly using defensive tacticts to help another person out.

Ever watch those Court shows? people go on there to rant about how some other guy broke there nose, or there hand.. and all they really get charged for is the medical bills.

So, stop with the shaking, and just make sure you have your wallet at hand.

And of course you did have witnesses on your side..so yeah.

If he died, I don't think someone is going to complain cause you were doing it on self-defence. I myself practiced Taekwondo, some Karate and actually Jeetkunedo and from what I've experienced, you just knocked the guy, probably let him without breath.
