I think I did it, but I probably messed up somewhere in here, so correct me if you see it.
Let's say that X=1
X=1
X^2=X
X^2-1=X-1
/X-1 /X-1
X=X-1
therefore:
1=0
So... do I win? Or is there an epic fail that I'm not seeing?

Well, let me tell you.
I've seen pics of this equation on google, and it's always fucked up in the bottom 3-4 steps.
So, judging by your work, i'd say that it's fucked up.

Well, the problem is X, because as a variable, it means anything.
In your set of equations, you assumed x=1, but it can mean any number. So If I put in 2, it doesn't come out the same.

Of course it will work, things always do when you use 1 and 0. Try using 17 or a reasonable number next time, it won't work.

It wont work. You're right. That's not the point. The point is that I made the number one have a value of zero.

Maybe if you beg real nicely, a mod will delete these 3 posts, and they'll go to google and delete all of them pics. Maybe Poozy'll do it for you, I hear he's a nice guy.

I'd have to say this.
X^2 can't equal X in a rational expression.
That's like saying 3^2=3, or 9=3.

X squared would equal 2X

Let's say that X=1
X=1
alright
X^2=X
if that means x squared then it doesn't equal x
X^2-1=X-1
if the above statement is right, this sin't
/X-1 /X-1
and this...
X=X-1
this also.......
therefore:
1=0
no...
So... do I win? Or is there an epic fail that I'm not seeing?

Correct. You cannot divide by zero.
