4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsWhen I was flipping through my TV channels yesterday, I came across this commercial for "The Othersiders" Which apparently is like a children version of paranormal state, and to make it worse... It's a live action show. So many annoying terrible shows were all slowly bending at Cartoon Network, but this just snapped it.
First of all, this is Cartoon network. You can't add any fucking live action shows to a channel based off cartoons and cartoons alone! Out of Jimmy's Head was pushing it with it's minimal use of cartoons, but to release a show with no essence of cartoon whatsoever, that's just outrageous.
And apparently Cartoon Network will be adding a "Cartoon Network Real" section to itself, so we get to see more wonderful fucking live action TV shows on a channel made for cartoons!
Anybody have anything to add?
I don't watch cartoons so this effects me in no way.
My opinions are so useless, I don't even listen to them.
Ghost hunting is lame, but KIDS GHOST HUNTING OMFG
Seriously, CN is just stretching for ideas now.
I get what you're saying about cartoons only thing. It would make sense for cartoon network to just show cartoons but they have to also keep up with things that are cool. Im not sure if that show is or not. But they're trying.

well... I suppose i'm starting to grow out of them too, but it seems like the most pathetic thing a company can do for themselves if it means going against what they stand for
you could try watching some actual shows, you know something with real people, like cops or something instead of some damn cartoons...
Seriously, who even reads these things anymore?
I watch tom and jerry. But that's about it. Stop watching cartoons. You're a big boy now.
Dexters Laboratory, Courage the cowardly dog..... its all coming back.
Cartoon Network was complete shit ever since around 2005.

I never said I watched cartoons in the first place. and if I do, It would probably be something out of adult swim, or on occasion, boomerang
If you don't like it, don't watch Cartoon Network. Simple as that. They're just trying to increase their view numbers.

Fixed to say what I read it as.
I am the coolest Otaku you will ever meet.
It doesn't matter to me anyway. I lost faith in Cartoon Network years ago.
Sigs are overrated.

yay! we both lost faith years ago!
Oh no, next you'll be telling me Ed, Edd, and Eddy isn't funny anymore. Why are you even watching anything on that station not related to Adult Swim at this point? I loved classic Disney Channel (Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Bonkers, Gargoyles, etc etc.) but you don't see me complaining every time a Jonas Brothers commercial comes on.
The fact of the matter is you are NOT the target audience, it wasn't made for you to like it, therefore it be best for your own benefit for you to move on. No use crying over something you can't change and would look ridiculous trying to.
It's been going downhill for years. It was only a matter of time before it ended up like Nick.
I'd be happy if they have "Beyond Belief" in cartoon network...
Please subscribe

*gasp* you take that back it's totally for everyone.
And ed,edd,n eddy will bring cartoon network back to it's former glory
Wasn't the Othersiders originally on Discovery Kids? And Survive This (a rip off of Serious) and that theme park show... I can't think of a word to describe the stupidity of that. 'Sides, it's Cartoon Network.
They need to make a channel like boomerang, but with reruns of toonami and all of the older better shows that happened after the boomerang era.

Shut the fuck up.
Courage and the older shit was good, and now we get pieces of shit cartoons that somehow pass CN's pussy ass "test" to make it on the air. Seriously, I would rather watch boomerang than pretty much any other TV network, jsut because the great memories.
i dont give a fuck a million dollars im a samurai

Cough MTV.
While we'er on that topic, when's the last time you heard any music on MUSIC Television?
CN started its downhill ride when they killed the Looney Toons and tried to create that rip off (as seen here http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/22 3809 ). Then they killed such greats as Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Lab. They tried to get back on track with Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Then they recently killed Toonami, which was about the only other reason to watch CN besides Adult Swim.
Now there is only Adult Swim, which also seems to be slowly dying into the live action bullshit.
With a broken heart and a lost soul, Red October shall slay all
One of Cartoon Network's shows is called 6Teen, you've probably noticed in while going through the guide. That show was originally on Nickelodeon, however it was so crappy that Nick took it off their channel. Now it's on Cartoon Network.
Well at least Total Drama Action will save them, the new show coming from Total Drama Island.
oh look, something is on tv that I do not want to watch, good thing I have the ability to change the channel.
I dropped out in the third grade, and spent all my time at the arcade.

Yeah, Every single live action show they made has sucked.
I actually laughed when I saw the commercial for The Othersiders, mostly because I know exactly how it's going to play out. They're going to jump at every sound and call it ghosts. I think the crowning moment in the commercial I saw was a point at which they're all huddled together, and one of the girls goes "I think something touched my shoulder!"
But no, it's going to be terrible.
But Xenomonkey you just don't understand, how the hell are they supposed to make obscene amounts of money by staying loyal to their fans?
Seriously, If I wanted shitty live action shows, I'd watch Nickelodeon. The only reason someone who would actually watch that crap would come to CN is for a change, not more of the same stuff.
