How many of you, after doing something productive, or helpful, reward yourself? Now i'm not talking about helping some lady cross the street, and she gives you a shiny nickel, that's someone else rewarding you. What i mean is, after completing something, such as a homework assignment, project, or whatever, you get yourself a little gift, or do something that you like to do.
Today, i spent the day wandering up and down Main St looking for a job and filling out a bunch of applications. My last stop was "The Irishman", a nice little restaurant down the street from my house, I filled out the application, and conversed with the hostess for a little while, and i felt pretty proud of myself about really looking hard to find a job today, so i bought some Guinness BBQ wings.
I try to reward myself with something equal to the amount of work that i did. (except that one time when i bought a sword after doing Jury Duty...). It keeps me from procrastinating if i know i'm going to get/do something i like.
TL:DR Elios is eating BBQ wings. Shit was so paid in cash.
Do what now...?

I always try to do something useful... It makes me feel useful... lol
No, really, but I always reward myself with candies and chocolates...and I know I should not, but I love to eat them...and I do the same like you, I give to myself as much reward as I think I earned...

With the way our economy is at the time, there's no way you can get a job easily. Not trying to bring you down, but what with the recession and whatnot, I doubt that you'll get a job.
Good luck on getting that job though!

I go and relax after working hard. It's the best reward.

The only way I know how to reward myself, after working or doing something useful for someone else is by hopping into my nice fuzzy bed and napping for a bit.

You'd be amazed. I just linked to em just in case. It's not too much work to throw in a reference to something like that, so why not? It also makes your post appear more intelligent.

I understand your pain, dude--I was laid off in February. Looks like I may be going back to school though.
Rewarding myself was important when I still had my job, because a lot of times I had to put up with a lot of shit. One time I bought myself a spa package. I didn't know the spa existed until I had to run inside to get out of the rain. Most of the time if I reward myself, it's small things, like going out to a restaurant, buying some food I like, like ice cream, a bubble bath, or a new video game.
Now, I generally need to keep some sort of reward system to keep my sanity. When I got my acceptance letter, I went out to a restaurant. That sort of thing.

Well, before buy one send me a PM...My grandfather was a japanese craftsman, an he thought me the art of make swords...I have all his stuff saved and I would make Katanas and knives when I have spare time...I'm not saying I can make you one, because I only make them with special steel brought from India and it's pretty expensive to pay them (Also, I'm so fucking lazy that to make a single Katana I would need 2 months) However, I can always give you advice before buying anything with a nice shape and steel ;)

This, I will do. Though I plan on having my katana hand-made the old fashioned way. With lots of folding and time. Perfection takes patience after all.

You should totally spend some time on making a high quality sword that has NG engraved on the base of the blade. I'd buy it.
