The fact you would even allow your own opinions to be influenced by the views of others (especially people on this of all forums) leads me to believe you are entirely too young to watch porn in the first place and therefore to young to discuss it.

Discussion: There's no proven significant medical effect of watching pornography, although it does have its benefits. For one countries with pornography have lower sex crimes rate than those countries that ban it. Pornography is an excellent way to indulge in fantasies without taking dangerous steps that may result in an STD or effect someones marriage. So, yes in a way it can actually help a marriage more than hinder it.

One bad thing I will say about pornography (at least for younger generations) is that it will change your concepts of sexuality. For one you'll start to believe cliches in pornography, like women are completely open to any type of sexual experimentation. This can get you in trouble with your significant other or more importantly the law. For example when I was in middle school a young porn addict ended up getting suspended for his constant dirty talk (a habit he picked up from porn films) with reluctant female participants. They should feature some sort of disclaimer in porn products along the lines of; "don't try this at home."

Additionally pornography seems to promote the view that sex is taboo and disgusting while in reality it's completely natural and acceptable (in appropriate settings).

I was thinking the same thing.
But porn is both bad and good. Its bad for obvious reasons, it exploits both men and women, not just women.

But its also good for very obvious reasons.
Ive always thought that if you're repressed and never see porn and people tell you that stuff is bad when you're growing up, then you might end up like one of those people that never talk to the opposite sex, and are just weird.

Just be sure to know that sex in porn is not the same in real life, unless you happen to be a porn star. It's over exaggerated so it easily appeals to the audiences. Unfortunately, real life sex isn't that appealing sometimes, so don't be disappointed when you have sexytime and it sucks.

The point I was trying to make is that, porn isn't really bad, no matter how much you watch it. I think it's more of a matter of WHY you're watching it? Me? 80% of the time I don't even masturbate. Just boredom. It's up to your taboo's to decide if your reason is bad or not.

Hopefully you don't develop a tolerance to it and start venturing deeper into the world of porn for something more interesting or stimulating. There's some really nasty and disturbing things in porn, if you keep going farther into the dirty vagina of pornography.

You should probably look for another constructive thing to do if you're not working on your car.
