I have a problem with girls

Mabey some of you can relate. Like today I was talking to this girl and after class, she sat down next to me and we had a conversation. There was clearly chemistry, but then after a while we just started talking as friends. I always do that. I always manage to find some girl who actrully finds me interesting and then we always end up as friends. I guess I don't know how to naturally flirt in a conversation. I tried to sneak in dumb cheezy compliments like "So what's your name? That's very unique" and corny shit like that, but I've never been good at natrully shifting the convo to bring flirtatious. I mean she was clearly intersted in me when she walked over and sat next to me and I can tell were going down the friend path. I don't know. Anyone have the same problem? any advice?
