Once again, wow.

This game is a mixture of Modern Warfare and a bit of futuristic concepts, just the combo I love.

I seriously might consider getting a PS3 if it gets high reviews. Last time I remember being excited for Haze, but it was a huge flop, and my respect for the PS3 was cut down. Killzone 2 too.

But Socom has had a great reputation as a game series though.
It's really not all it's cracked up to be. Socom is an OK shooter, but nothing amazing.

You're only saying that because of CONFRONTATION, which wasn't made by the same developers.

Enjoy your massive fucking lag and people running around not doing what they're supposed to.

On paper it's a good idea, but as for execution this game will be shit.

Serious business in here.

haha you must not own a ps3 lol

i dont see this happening, because the people who dont follow orders will get owned due to it's sort of risk and reward system. If u leave the fraggo to do something else, you'll be removed of probably precious weapons, health and armor bonuses, sprinting speed and even damage. Devs already explained this. In fact they never said they didn't want people running around doing what they wanted to do, but just to keep the game organized they felt the need to punish those that devait from the chain of command. and reward those they stay with it. Again devs already stated they don't care if u follow the orders or not. Its the players risk. ALSO BETA BETA BETA. Shit will get sorted out if theres a problem with balance issues.

As for the lag, the E3 sony confference says it all when they demo'd a 256 person game ON STAGE, with people in completely different states and regions. Saw no lag. They designed a new server architecture for this game, it'll run like any other.

Everyone who complains about this game without actually seeing the results is obviously jealous in some degree. I'm sorry you can't have it. If it was multiplat i really wouldnt care at this point because we'd get less bickering from the jealous morons.

But it rarely ever worked in Battlefield 2. In Battlefield 2 you get more exp for working in your squad but unless your squad's just sitting in a blackhawk raining death you could often get more experience just by sniping etc etc. And unless you were in a game with your friends it'd be hard to get a decent squad that all sticked together and followed orders. And a squad leader who knew what they're doing.

When you got that you found yourself part of an unstoppable experience-gaining machine... but so often you'd just find a bunch of lone wolves doing their own thing.

:\

And of course with a good squad you'd need a good commander, etc, etc.
It's harder than you think.

And everyone who blindly supports it without seeing the results is what?

I've seen that game mentioned before and it should be brilliant if it all runs smoothly. Though I might be a but of an Xbox 360 fan, I still have a PS3 for when situations like these arise.

I doubt that in the end the experience would be worth 400$

Probably, like Haze which I thought was going to be amazingly great.

At least the few of us that actually PLAYED the game at E3. We know how the game is and good god, awesome.

Laggy? No. Resistance 2 wasn't laggy. This is only 4x the amount of players with nothing. Not that I got to play with 255 other players or anything.
