God dang.
This game is a game I've been dreaming about for a long time.
Huge armies, tactics, missions, orders, all in one constant multiplayer experience.
If the gameplay isn't that great, then I won't want a PS3.
But from the looks of it, it looks like an amazing game.

Yeah, youre right, MAG looks amazing. If I remember right, Playstation Magazine has an article on it, so does Game Informer. This makes me want a PS3, but so does God Of War 3. Holy shit, if you havent read the PM article yet, please do. It looks awesome, graphics are amazing, everything I would expect.
Both God Of War 3 and MAG make me want a PS3. BAD.

It just sounds like Planetside (MMO FPS) mixed with Battlefield 2. Nothing there I haven't heard before, in fact, it sounds very similar to the largest BF2 battles in terms of squads and lots of pockets of fighting and XP bonuses for following orders and so on.
Then again, I can't complain too much because BF2 was awesome.

Bandwidth is on the rise, console gaming uses very little as is. I don't think lag will be too much a serious problem, just for good measure they are launching a public beta to run server tests.

Although, will it just be a multiplayer game? I can't see how the single player could be made into anything unique without maybe doing massive offline battles with the comp.

Nevermind, I just watched the video and one of the guys mentions it will be a multiplayer only game.

It's by the same guys that do the Socom series so I'm hesitant to jump on the ship. The last time I ran out and purchased a PS3 exclusive shooter was Killzone 2 and I was disappointed.

It's really not all it's cracked up to be. Socom is an OK shooter, but nothing amazing.
