So was college hard for you? The courses and the work was it hard?

Depending on where you go college can be easy or difficult because professors expect more/higher quality from you. In general, college work is very different from high school, more self motivation and such.

This group can answer any and all questions pertaining to college.
And yes, I found college rather difficult.

Augustana you fail. That is the worst fucking song ever. It is every shitty college movie glorifying mid day keggers and sluts put in song form. Fuck you.

Although I am not in college (yet), what I have learned from talking to others who are in college is that it really depends on what you make of it.
You could decide to do some kind of double/triple/quadruple major and give yourself tons on work, or you could take easy classes or the bare minimum required and barely work at all. Your answer will vary depending on who you ask, and thus I don't believe definitive "yes or no" answers will be too helpful.
I'd say that's true for most colleges or majors, but perhaps not so much in majors like engineering, math, science (Physics, Chemistry, etc), where it's probably a bit harder to bullshit your way through.
If you want information on college I suggest you check out the College Life Club, or read through the threads on this forum, which has lots of interesting information.

Oh another piece of advice. I worked really hard to get into a ballin' college and my mentality was oh once I get to college that is the end game. SUPER. Boy was I wrong, fucking grad school is where its at. any person can go to college, it doesn't really matter what you major in, it just matters where you go to grad school. (aside from med school, but you could major in English and still go to med school with summer classes.)Basically freshman year was a mind fuck for me, "what? I worked this hard and now have to work even harder for another four years wtf?!"

Still in progress for me. It really does depend on what you major in and what type of teachers you may have to put up with sometimes. Other than that it's work.

The courses and work that part wasn't hard. But my crippling anxiety and growing paranoia kind of made it a little difficult. I recall the hall spinning as as I stormed out of my English exam feeling a mix of confusion, overwhelming nervousness and a bit of anger mixed with frustration. It was quite the break down... I don't think anyone noticed though.

Classes got in the way of college.
But to seriously address the question: sometimes.

Yes and no. It depends on what major you take and how serious about studying you are. You go to class and study hard then the assignments and exams will be easy. If you goof off and go to class hungover, then it's going to be an up hill battle. I seen so many friends who party all the time just to flunk out in their first year.
It took me a while since I changed my major several times but in the end it's worth it.

I'm currently enrolled in college courses as a pre-term education (I'm taking some classes now in so I wont have to later), and I would say that the work itself requires actual time and thought unlike the typical highs chool homework assignment. The thing about college-level classes is that they are more difficult because they hold you to a higher/more mature standard, however the courses that you take are relevant to what you want to know, not just what is standard. For example, I'm taking an entry level web development course; the homework itself takes me up to 4 hours per night, but it is all stuff that I love doing and that I could do for hours on end.
I'll give you some advice though, go to community college first if you can... It's a nice transition from Highschool because instead of it going from normal to difficult, it goes up gradually. It would almost feel like a more advanced version of Highschool and it's the cheaper rout to go too if you're having problems with money (which most people do).

Loved college, the courses were great because they were challenging, high school felt just like grade school to me.
Advanced courses and great professors just made it all the better for me, and let's not forget there tends to be a few mature people in every class as well. Clubs were good, too. Can't leave those out.
Throwing one of those soap-bubble packets into the campus fountain at LSU in Baton Rouge was also fun.
Didn't hear that from me, though.

If college is easier than high school, you're doing it wrong.
I originally held that sentiment, but mostly because you're required to take some general ed classes that are strikingly similar to what some of your high school courses may have been like.
Of course, it depends on what you're getting in to, as well. Maybe it's just because I'm working on dual bachelor's degrees while working 30 hours a week. Computer Science and Digital Art. I thought I had both of those down really good, but you can quickly humble yourself if you're willing to be challenged. It's sad to see some of my classmates working only within their comfort zones.

I agree here. Perhaps the toughest part for me was the constant barrage of tests; the exhaustion from both work and school and simply forcing myself to sit down and study and do homework despite exhaustion, despite invites from friends and despite work.

Asher Roth and his shitty whitebread rap being signed to a record deal is the worst fucking thing to happen to the music industry since Soulja Boy. The guy has no presence, and his only semblance of style is to copy Eminem, because he's got no other precedent to follow.
The problem is that Eminem has the ethos and the persona to be a rapper, having the personal story and legitimate ability to rise through the ranks by sheer cleverness of wordsmithery, thereby justifying his rags-to-riches transformation, while Asher Roth is both a born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-mouth run-of-the-mill white teenager, and a completely toneless hack to boot.
"I Love College" is a travesty.
