I honestly don't understand how the outcome of a sports game can ruin people's nights.
You have no stake in it. I mean.
Jeez.
I know I have no stake in it, but when you're rooting for your favorite team come playoff time, you can't help but want them to succeed. If this was during the regular season, I wouldn't think twice about it.
However, it's different with the playoffs. You know your team is one of the teams that have a shot at winning a championship. Both my basketball team and hockey team losing on the same night and losing their shot at a championship just kind of sucks, especially in San Jose's case. They win the President's Trophy for the most points in the league, and they get bounced in the first round.
Like I mentioned in my OP, bust of a season. They sure did pull a Houdini on me and all the other San Jose fans around the world.
Trade Joe Thornton. NOW.
