Lol, could make it like a lemmings game.

If there is gonna be another meet up here for a game like that, I don't think Luis would be hosting it ;) If there is gonna be another one, I'd totally be there.

Dean, you're a wonderful football player. Apologies for the bruises that I gave you in the over-zealous tackles :P

Thanks to all who turned up, i'll make more days next time, i'll book a hotel!

I look forward to seeing you then :)

Well, Luis goes back home on Wednesday, so give it a few more days before we start harassing him :P

Great to see you too, as always :)

Liar! You loved the beer more than us and you missed it!

I even bought some of the guys a pitcher of Pimms. Even Keith had some, which is apparently the only alcoholic drink he will consume.

Select which mod you wish to deploy to herd the nerds.

In fact, Herd the Nerd - London would be a great title.

I may write more tomorrow, since I'm really, really tired at the moment.

It was good seeing people, those I'd met before and those I hadn't.

I'm sorry if I didn't get to talk to everyone, I'm kinda shy and get a bit embarrassed when someone introduces themselves and I don't recognise their NG names (and don't know what to say in cases like that, since I've nothing I can think of to talk to them about without going away and thinking about it).

That's not because I don't necessarily KNOW their usernames, either - more often than not it's just because they're pronounced differently to how I think they might be pronounced when I read them on NG.

There were also a couple of people who either came to talk to me in instances like that, or as I was trying to round up the last of the people in Namco to go to Hyde Park, and I was pre-occupied with getting that done.

I also have a bit of trouble sometimes concentrating on a conversation if there are other conversations going on around me, or if there's strong background music at the place we're at, at the time. That happened with a few people, so I apologise for that.

You gotta give credit to guys like Afro-wolf and Sealander, for having parents who were prepared to let them both come to a meet up like this, and accompany them to it, and let them just get on with it. I regret not speaking to either of them (other than Afro-wolf, who helped me out with the crappy payment machines for the dodgems (and I didn't twig who he was until after that)).

It's one thing for young users to get their parents to accompany them to conventions, where there's tons of different stuff to check out, and have them stop by the NG booth at those events, but it's quite another to convince them to spend a whole day based around an NG-specific event. That's parenting as it should be!

Hope everyone had a good time.

P.s. Dean, I owe you a beer.

aww thanks :3. And next time i'd be allowed to go with out my dad because now he knows what will pretty much happen now at the NG meet up. And also, I was not sure who you were, but were you the guy who was kind of small, had a Britain newgrounds black t-shirt and had a beard? (i think).

Don't worry about regretting not talking to people, I have that same problem too ;)

Oh so you only seemed so chatty with me because you vaguely remembered my name from this thread? :P

90% of everyone says mine wrong. I guess that's the downside to keeping an Internet pseudonym you made when you were 14.

I mean, "I do creating", you'd think it's a no-brainer but the amount of "I doc reating" i get is annoyingly high.

Eh; Luis and Bez have almost all the events covered between them. I suppose it depends on when either of them get around to uploading anything.

I only have one decent one (I was too busy enjoying myself to remember my camera). Rucklo was tired in NAMCO (after spending all night up during the karaoke, AFTER spending hours travelling here) and decided to use the NG flag as a blanket. It was too good to resist taking a picture. :P

To those that missed the Newgrounds Skeleton Gimp, you may get a chance to see him in an up-coming flash cartoon, maybe a game if peeps get together.

Failing that he'll appear on photos on the Hub Page sometime.

Apologies to those who missed out!

But yeah, I forget who it wass, sorry, but one guy I played, I just put my air hockey holder, or what ever it was, and just set it infront of my goal. And then the other guy kept trying to get it in but ultimately just got it in his own goal :3 I DIDN"t DO ANYTHING. <3

Really fun time guys.

Guys, it is the expert opinion of me that the GH machine there was the biggest pile of shit ever.

The strum bar double-strummed, the guitar weighed a brick, the frets stuck, and most importantly it was really badly calibrated.

I didn't talk to Afro-Wolf at all during the meet. Never even noticed his Dad was there lol, but i wish mine would've been that cool when i was younger.

Those dodgems were brilliant, although when your sharing one with someone else your knees are right up next to the steering wheel. One nasty shunt from a side and your knees slam into it. Totally worth it mind, T-boning Luis was a highlight.

Also, i wasted a lot of cash on that stupid ball dropping thing and got like, 100 tickets for my effort. I bought some chewy sugary hot dogs. Then Wonchop came down with a bag full of drumsticks, the lucky git.

when I tried double strumming on the expert level which I always do, it can't fucking sync it into the came, so i have to do extremely fast strumming with my thumb, Ow. The frets weren't that bad, I was ok with it.

I never bothered with it, just watched the rest of you play for a bit.

Never been a huge fan of Rythm games, especially not Rythm games with awful music like Guitar Hero...

Donkey Konga was fun though.. Hmm, I have the urge to play that now..
