True dat. I think regardless of whether youre a male or female, the very first gathering you attend is always kind of intimidating. I mean lets be blunt, youre meeting a bunch of internet people. I think that after the first one, it is less of a burden to your nervous system, simply cause you have more of a familiarity than you did the first time.

Also generally speaking, the people who make it out on the other meet days have a bit of a headstart in mingling with folks before the main meet day where its a royal clusterfuck.

The last london thing was a rediculously large group, what was it like 60?
I guess that didnt help matters much either if you dont like large groups.

This one is looking to be slightly smaller than Jan. but still larger than any other meets. So yea, pick your poison.

I'd love to pop down to a meet eventually and enjoy a few beverages with random peeps, but i'd feel really uncomfortable not knowing anyone. Literally.

im trying stickam and just chatting on the BBS to sort of get to know people better.. watched a game of monopoly with BBM and some other NG familiars and joined in a little :3... im sure they will be nice to me... um... they will be nice to me wont they!?... what do you mean no... their going to do what!... eep

Ah, I think the first few moments are gonna be a bit awkward for me. I'm a bit of a relaxed and focused-on-one-thing kind of guy, so big cities are usually a bit overwhelming. And then I'm gonna meet random people from the internet haha.
But ah well, it'll be just fine probably. As a matter of fact, I'm really looking forward to it. Since I'm reallllly bored.

Exactly! Now that I'm over that, I've booked the time off work and I'll hopefully be coming down with the Mrs for at least a few days. My stats are going to suffer :P

I was considering coming down for the day but it's on August 8th :O Newcastle's opening game against West Brom is on BBC1! I'll decide nearer the time whether to miss it or not.
