Bush and the immigration issue. Clearly an attempt to raise his approval rating on the economy. He seems to feel, as well as dick and Karl im sure, that if more jobs are filled itll boost the economy. thing is, by granting amnesty, hes only filling jobs that pay so low, that no american with a family to support would fill.
Hes just giving us the screw again.

I agree. The economy is just fine. Just when large companies want to start investing in new jobs, this happens. Making illegals citizens will solve issues of them getting below minimum wage and they'll be complain about unethical working conditions (which many suffer from), but now is not the time for such a decision. I'll remember this when I get to the polls this Fall.

No, American Corporations are filling jobs that no Americans want with immigrant workers who are willing to work for a fraction of your salary.
And your thread title? That's like saying that multi-millionaire CEOS of multinational coporations with their corporate offices are stealing jobs from Americans.

Correct me if i'm wrong (which, I'll admit, I might be) but other Americans have raised the issue of being billions of collars in debt to countries. This does not seem like a good economy here.
I'll admit i have no clue, this is just something i'd like clarifuication on, because i'm confused.

I was saying that in reference to how the economy was improving from its post 9/11 slump. Sure, we still have a National Debt, but besides that, things have been looking up. Interest Rates are still low (last I checked) and the Stock Market has been steadily rising.

Well, that depends on how fast the government is planning to repay his debts. My country's government for instance is acting kinda stupid: Our shithead prime minister wants all debts to be repayed in 2008 (which is practically impossible) so the government cuts in things like environmental care, social fundings and government projects to boost the economy. If you ask me, that is why our economy is so fucked up right now.

You don't seem facist, I agree with you, but the companies are getting willing cheap labour, what are they supposed to do?
