I was on the depo shot(birth control) for almost 3 years and the shot can make you gain weight. Sadly, I was one of the 70% of women who gained weight.

Every since being off it, I've been trying to be more exercise savvy and watching my weight and trying to get my boyfriend to do the same.

I went online and found a Healthy Weight Calculator and a BMI Calculator.

Do any of you worry about your weight or are you happy how you are?
Do you exercise? How?

If I were tied up, would you ring my bell?

Well currently I'm on a diet which helps me skip shit that commonly has a lot of saturated fats and other unhealthy shit. Exercise wise...Rock Band 2 drums?

I'm overweight. 6'1 and 225 pounds. I'm happy though, and I used to weigh 300+.

I could care less if I gain a few pounds here and there. I'm just glad I can actually run 25 feet without getting winded.

It's pretty natural for even the skinniest of women to think that they have some cellulite, very few women are truly happy with their wait. Many women will actually go off the deep end, being anorexic or bulimic, in more severe cases it's tied with depression and ends in suicide.

Although, being a guy, I have too at some time or another thought I had gained quite a few pounds, but then started exercising a bit, and lost it off, I hope that you can have the same luck as I did with shedding the weight.

I didn't really plan the exercise part of it, just the eating part. I do walk to college though so that must help it somewhat.

I go through phases and currently im in a good phase.

i'm eating super healthy lots of whole grains fruits and veg, and chicken. eats lots of times a day but eat small amounts.

Im running at least every other day not a whole lot just like half an hour. Im thinking about joing a gym at work soon though and im gonna start lifting.

Just remember better diet makes a bigger difference usually than exercise. 90% or something of the energy you use you use if you exercise or not cause your brain uses more energy than the rest of your body. So just be diligent with the food intake with in a couple weeks it will be habit. Then just exercise a little a few times a week you will soon be in great shape.

I don't worry about it that much. I probably should but i don't see that happening any time soon.

My opinions are so useless, I don't even listen to them.

On the weekend I go run with my dog for 10-15 minutes everyday, usually around 7PM. So I'll go in like 12 minutes.

It's not about weight though, it's for my health and personal achievement.

5'10" 150lbs BMI is approx 19 (near the bottom of normality)

Weight to height ratios don't matter, it depends on how your body naturally is, like what type. You'd think that me being almost 6'5" and 170lbs is skinny but it isn't.

You know...I feel the same way. I have been gaining bits of weight here and there and although I'm not overweight, I'm not where I want to be. I actually had a dress fitting for a friend of mine who is getting married soon. It was not a favorite experience. I think part of the reason I am gaining more weight is because of my stress levels. I am a masters student now and I am involved in a highly stressful internship. It is not easy and I find that instead of sleeping I tend to just pick up the bag of crackers that I have on the table and chow down. I actually feel sick though if I eat too much.

I'm certainly no expert on the matter, but I think for me it is a matter of recognizing when I am eating because of stress and when I am eating because I am hungary. I don't know about your stress levels, but perhaps it is the same for you too.

One last thought- Lost Chances wrote that he played rock band. While I don't use rock band to exercise, I do use dance dance revolutions. Its actually a great cardiovascular workout.

So diet is more effective that regular excercise?

Then what would you say is your 'diet' plan or what makes a good diet?

I always thought if I just start exercising more that would be enough instead of changing the way I eat.

So it's better not to trust BMI?

its best to do both, but i think exercising is a lot more important

Just use a goddam condom ffs.

From the looks of your photo (yes I looked at your profile, so what?), you look perfectly fine. You're not fat. You're still growing really so try not to undergo any drastic changes in diet. 3 meals a day with no snacks and that'll suffice. And for the love of God don't pester your boyfriend by telling him he needs to lose weight or diet, it won't go down well. He'd be well in his rights to tell you to mind your fucking business.

I don't particularly worry, however I live pretty healthily.

Do you exercise? How?

Yes, I workout 5 days a week, and I used to play sports, but that changed to going for a run on the weekend.

I'm actually trying to gain weight though, I don't look very filled out right now, though it is a lot better than 2 years ago. I'm 6'1'' and about 170. I got really sick about 3 weeks ago, so I'm just getting back into my routine now that I've recovered. I started eating again, back up to 6 meals or so.

If you're trying to lost weight, having 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day is the best way. Just make sure you don't eat right before doing cardio or right before going to sleep. Lots of simple carbs and sugars too, it'll keep you energetic all day, meaning you can exercise for longer and get a better workout from it.

I'd suggest staying away from weight lifting of all sorts if you're trying to slim down. Even cardio-oriented circuits tend to be counter-productive to your cause. Stick with running, biking, and core stability workouts. Do everything with just your body weight.

Hope this helps! =)
