Quick feedback please?

I'm working on revising a cartoon. I'm currently working on redoing some of the artwork.

Here's the old model, in post on my page.

The new one is here, can anyone offer any tips as far as improvements?

I want to keep the details simple for the sake of animating it, but I'm not liking the eyes myself.

The head looks a little disproportionate to the body to me. Here's a side to side to side comparison of what i think your character should look like (you don't have to use my character it's just how i draw people and i just wanted to include it :P) All i did was shrink the head a little and in my opinion it looks a lot better.

The head does seem a little big for his body. I'm not really liking the eyes either, try going with a couple of different styles and see which one works best.

Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for, actually. My usual method of choice is to use the mouse, But I think I should break out the tablet on this one.
