Wow... Who'd have thought that after all of those years of talking about making them more expensive so that people would quit that they'd actually do it. But it's not just to get you to quit, it's to create additional revenue to offset the money being paid out to fix the economy.

Its not Obama's doing. Prices in my state went up before he even had the Democratic nomination. The state government raised the taxes themselves. The reason why the prices are going up are because they need more tax revenue and they want you to quit smoking. What's funny is that it did force people to quit smoking so the state isn't get as much money for the programs it was funding with that tax.
