Working in the videogame bussiness is probably the dream of half of the users of NewGrounds.I'm trying to be a realist, and have gotten interested in the only section I could probably work in.So here's a little concept art for a cold-looking planet.

Looks more desolate and barren than cold, but still pretty good.
It looks really nice, I think it'd add more depth if you had some darker tones and lighter tones where needed. It seems too cartoony at the moment.

Probably because of the outlines around the rocks.
Hmmm, looks kind of unfinished at the moment. I recommend giving the background hills some depth, because they have that distinct paint stroke feel now. The foreground rocks, on the other hand, look great.
Maybe some subtle fog at the lower part of the image too and/or some snow. It is supposed to be cold, afterall ;)
i think the main thing that is missing is frost, iced up part of the mountains... very bland at the moment, not saying it not good though...
I tried making falling snow, but that was an Epic Fail of mine...

It still seems cold lol. I think you should make the lava brighter and add some more red hues to the piece.

Exactly my thought, i think its the blue (Blue being a cold color) in the back ground.
