I'm starting a little bit of the composition. Of course, not that much. Please join, we do need anybody. But i ask that we stop a little bit on the electric guitars. We need some acoustic, more bass, and more classical instruments.
But, on the brighter side, I'm loving the turnout of all these people. Keep em' comin! ;3

Want to know who's in it so far? People are here.

I do vocals, harmonica, organ, piano, drums and banjo.

Take your pick.

I can play some nice clean guitar.

Well, jazz, really. But still. A composition would unite us, although you don't have to do it, I'm just saying we need one.

Sign me up for a bass guitar part since I have a bass lying about which I can use. I may also be buying a guitar soon which I'm going to try learning so it's up to you if you put me down on guitar as well. I'll also try to be buying a cord from the guitar to a USB so I can record it a lot easier.

nah man I didn't mean it like that I was actually just wondering in general about mixing. a project such as this could have a whole host of mixing dilemmas and I will actually be quite fascinated by how it turns out.

Well I am buying an electric so unless there's a program which can alter what a guitar sounds like when using the computer as an amp, no can do.

Although I'm sure there is such thing as a program somewhere.

By the way, sorry for the double post, I've found something that may be useful.

If you need more than 3 drummers and some Newgrounds members have Rock Band drums, there's a program which can be used to turn your drums into electronic drums. Just download this program, make sure you have the 360 input device driver, plug it in and off you go. Even if you don't have the drums, you can just use your keyboard as an alternative to make the drum effects. There's another download that will change the file names of all the drum beats you've recorded into MP3, WAV and one or two other file formats.

I've given it a try and it works fine.

Sorry if I made you feel bad, I just want to be in this thing. And if by F trombone you mean trombone with an F-attachment, then yes, I use it all the time.

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure it's going to go anywhere.

For one thing, you'd need something to play. And I know that the level of skill here is good, but I don't think it would be possible to play a lot of MaestroRage's stuff, or for that matter, any other classical composer on the site. Secondly, I haven't seen anyone opting to play a stringed instrument yet (not including guitars, I mean things like violin, viola, cello, contrabass), and seeing as the violins are usually the biggest part of an orchestra, it could be tricky to arrange with none or few of them. I also haven't seen any woodwinds. So really, this is a rock band with a triangle and a small brass section.

This is the height of your point, and you make a good one. This, unfortunately, is all too true, and we really do need more symphonic. However, speeling and myself have decided to close electric guitar positions, so there will be no extra ones of those. Besides, I'm guessing a few of them will bail, so that's even less.
Although, I do kind of like the idea of combining plugged in guitars with classical music. Perhaps we can compose the music so the two groups are dueling with each other?

I can play guitar very badly. I only know 3 normal chords and a few power chords. I also have a kazoo, which you can't really be bad at.
