"Newgrounds" is still 400 votes behind "Reddit".

It's quite the large distance to make up, but I've seen the NG community rig larger contests than this.

It's a little hard for me to catch up on basics here every so often because of real life time (Marines).
I get the basic idea though. Can't wait for Pico Day:)

When I go to "Enable Revenue Sharing" in my account, I click it and it just gives me a white screen and nothing happens. Ive tried refreshing, could it possibly, maybe be that Im not on an admin account? HELP!

I've decided to suspend the monthly prize money for the ten best submissions. Winners will receive an award certificate and store credit, with our goal being for the rev share system to ultimately generate more earnings than the existing prizes.

I'd think that'd put a lot of tension on you guys, individually. Instead of the community making the decision on who gets "showered in mullah", it's a single/random admin (presuming that's how frontpage content is determined, I have no idea). Potential frontpage blog posts could become more spammy and competitive for the space, too.

Not trying to be a downer, just looking from different angles. Money will drive people to think of and do things that free goers won't.

Indeed that is the point. newgrounds is for animation of any kind, I just happen to make anime style stuff for the most part.I'm pretty much showing thatwe're at the point in technology that anyone can make their own animated projects and there is a place availible to host your projects as well as an audience for it.

as for Psi8's comments on my abilities, I havent really been able to show my real potential as a storyteller yet.

But I dont intend on letting an 18 year old closet 4chan snob sneer at me because he didnt like my last toon. I guess I'll have to start showing off some of my bigger projects.

I voted for Newgrounds twice yesterday. I'm gonna go vote again right now. I'm looking forward to Pico Day this year. I remember it being awesome last year. I'm playing Mindchamber's game first since his is gonna have medals, if I'm not mistaken.

That's true, since the flash pool is around 50+ submissions and some flashes will undoubtedly be missed.

The gap is closing quickly! Already over 900 votes for Newgrounds, AND RISING! Reddit is still at a dead halt with 938, and we're less then 40 votes away from snatching the lead!

I fully support this idea. Maybe it will spur people to use their imaginations a bit more often instead of just catapulting themselves at the nearest video game with flash in one hand and $$ for pupils. This culture of just refrying memes is getting a bit too common.
