Well, now that it is October and not April, I see this topic is in need of a bumping.
I'm trying to do a cyberpunk costume, but It's looking more like a regular murderer kind of thing. Hopefully when Halloween gets here and I color and style my hair for it, and get together the rest of what I'll wear (including blue glow sticks), it'll work out.
I'm going to do a more steampunk theme, lmao, although I too feel like my costume is looking more like a regular murderer. However, it looks like you've dished out a bit of dough for the respirator mask and face mask, whereas I just got regular paper dust masks and cheap goggles. I was looking at the proper respirators and welders goggles, which were about $40 each, compared to about $8 all up for what I spent. I just sprayed my shit black, popped some rivets in the mask, probably going to add some more onto the goggles, and then I'll just get a white shirt, black vest, and maybe a black tie from an op shop, slap on some back jeans and my work boots and I'll be all ready for the halloween party. I'm quite excited as I'm Australian, and have never celebrated halloween before.
The picture's what I've done so far. I removed the straps off my goggles, so it's not sitting quite right, although, along with the mask, I'll probably just rest my goggles on my head instead. I've got two dust masks on though, as the top one's been soaked in spray paint, so I'd prefer not to have the fumes wafting straight up my nose. It'll be a lot better when the paint dries properly.
